using White Sox math, the Twins have 2307.2% more World Series titles than the White Sox since 1986

and it's amazing to think that he'll only be 35 when he hits his 500th HR. only 12 men in the history of the world can say that 8/6/2014 12:13:50 AM |

^ You seem to post more here than the Cardinal thread. Have you finally come to your senses and picked the Sox? 8/6/2014 5:13:15 PM |

no, the Cards aren't nearly as interesting this year, thus I don't have much to post about
they're a lock to win the Central and probably make it to the World Series again. par for the course 8/6/2014 5:30:19 PM |

AL shortstops are horrible offensively. All but maybe 2 are strictly defensive specialists/slap hitters
The indians have lindor coming up but he is of the elvis andrus mold, suarez of the tigers profiles as a johnny peralta at best. All of the ones in the AL west are poor offensive players....so that leaves reyes in the AL east as the best.
If i had to choose between reyes and ramirez with both at 100% id take reyes in a heartbeat...but how often is he 100%? 8/10/2014 2:27:10 AM |

I feel bad for Abreu. If he were a Yankee or Red Sock, he'd be a guaranteed POY and MVP
2-time player of the month 3-time rookie of the month #4 offensive WAR #7 batting average #1 slugging #1 OPS #2 total bases #2 runs created #1 XBH #1 RBI #2 HR 8/27/2014 9:38:41 PM |

no big surprise, but congrats to Abreu!
Quote : | "Abreu finished the season with a major league-leading .581 slugging percentage, while also posting a .383 on-base percentage in 145 games. He was second in the American League with a .964 OPS and second in total bases with 323.
Abreu’s 36 home runs not only were a White Sox rookie record, they were also third most in the AL. He was also fourth in RBIs with 107 and fourth in extra-base hits with 73.
Abreu became the first rookie in major league history to rank among the top five in his league in each Triple Crown category. He also joined Hal Trosky (1934), Ted Williams (1939) and Albert Pujols (2001) to hit at least 30 doubles, 30 home runs and collect 100 RBIs in a rookie season. " |
