your friend isn't the only one who drank too much Thursday night, ha

I won't be able to forgive Death for tricking me into raising my hand if I was a fan of Jesus

That T0W3RS set was wild.

Spoon are a really great band who are completely incapable of doing anything but competently playing their songs. I skipped their set and don't regret it for a second, though the bit of "The Beast and Dragon, Adored" I heard wafting down Fayetteville Street sounded nice.

Heard the reason St. Vincent didn't get to use her full set with the pyramid, etc. was because Spoon refused to move their backline.

Also I left mastadon early to head over to deep south, intending to post up for dent may, and they were already doing one in, one out. Seems insane considering almost no one i spoke to all weekend knew who dent may or dead gaze was. Anyway, spending the night over at fletcher/kennedy was nice. I only caught white lung for a minute but they were really tight and great.

The line was for See Gulls, apparently. Sounds like it cleared out a good bit for Dent May.

I think I heard they were great at a day party, maybe that generated some buzz

See Gulls are quite good and the buzz, while still small, has been building for a while.

I'm glad I caught See Gulls at the Slims day party. That line sounded insane.

Wish I'd gone to Diarrhea Planet or Lunice instead of War on Drugs. they were fine but it was nothing transcendent.

Also wish I hadn't gone to bed at 11:30 Saturday.

I thought this was probably the most lackluster Hopscotch yet personally, but I really enjoyed Jamie xx, Sun Club, Marley Carroll and llll. and St Vincent.

probably would have enjoyed it more if every band I wanted to see wasn't playing headlining slots aka at the exact same time. wish they would change that.

they needed a cash flow and they got it, and Greg is still the director

it would be worrisome if they forced him out, but they didn't
