For the smell try a odor eliminator fogger. I flipped used cars for a bit and had good luck with them, you lock the spray like a bug bomb then close your car and recirculate the air, the fogger has a biocide to kill bacteria and some are scented to mask other odors.

you definitely have to document your cleaning expenses to get reimbursed. it won't be close to what uber charged her. the cleaning fee is mostly a punitive thing for the rider.

From what I've gathered, Uber is a shady company to work for. I heard on the news that Uber employees were deliberately requesting rides from Lyft and canceling them at the last minute, wasting tons of time/money to fuck with Lyft. That said, I LOVE uberX and they've been great about picking me up from bars when trashed and not raping me for their services.

my 7:45 Uber in ATL last saturday was from Buckhead to Midtown and it was $28 with 2.8x surge.

took another one home around 1:00am from just a couple blocks away and it was $10 with 0 surge.

If it's the same as all the others it is going to be a first ride free code that happens to go up to $30 rather than $20. Unless you're going 20+ miles it's probably not going to matter which code you use because your ride will be free either way.

Word. It costs me like $7.50 to go from Off Kaplan to downtown. I rarely even took cabs before Uber, but I can't argue with a $15 round trip and I usually end up catching a free ride home with friends anyway.

when I was an uber driver it would surge at peak bar times like 12 am - 2am, but surges were off and on very quickly. When I was driving I never saw a surge last more than 15 minutes, so if you want many times you should be able to wait it out.

Also DO NOT wait until 1:50 or 2 to request your Uber. This was pure hell trying to find your pickup because everyone was flagging you down and thinking you were the uber. If at all possible text the driver and tell them what corner you will be waiting on and DO NOT LEAVE the place you told them to meet you at and 5 minutes later update your location
