My high school boyfriend's name was Sky. His middle name was Walker, which his parents swear was a family name and the pairing with the first name was unintentional.

My friend has a cousin named Six. I didn't really think it was too odd.

I know people think a lot of awful names are urban legends but there's a reason why I stopped asking our patients if they had any names picked out. Ugh. People think it's the black people with the worst names but I disagree. They're usually consistent in the style of names but it's the trashy white girls and the rich IVF women with the worst names. One name that I'll never forget is Sigourney Beavers. As far as one of the worst made up names, Amsy Pelaura is a memorable one (they couldn't decide between penny and Laura, their grandmothers' names).

Old roommate named his kid Jaxon Alexander. Last name has an X in it too, so I imagine that a triple-X neck tattoo is in his future.

Before a formal event, I had my hair done by a pregnant lady who was going to name her baby Skigh.

I had a male student named Honey.

I had student named Miracle.

Wake County's former DA is named Colon.

Baby names from my fb newsfeed: Maxsim, Sailor Stone, Kai Luna, Cash.

One of my family members does embroidery (specializing in shit for babies) and posts pictures of her work. Names include: Dlynda, Shirleta.

If you don't self-identify as a basic bitch, your Facebook friends are basic bitches, and that implies you are a basic bitch.

Not weird...but my sister is giving her kids family/country names.

My niece is named after my Grandmother. My Grandmother's name was Hattie-Merle. My niece's name is Hattie (thank god they didn't add the Merle).

My soon-to-be nephew is named after my bro-in-law's grandfather or father...I can't remember. He'll be Hackney.

Can't say I'm in love with either of the names. But I won't love the kids any less!
