generally i do agree with you on this. but that play call on 3rd down seemed to have been a good play call. wr was open. brissett made a good pass. but it was just a dropped pass. so i can't fault that play call too much

Like I said, I don't mind the playaction on third and short...But if you don't convert, you're doubling-down on the low percentage conversion by then throwing again on 4th. So we walked away with nothing. Especially if you're just outside of field goal range. It ended up not costing us as Loserville didn't capitalize on it, thankfully. But if you're trying to get the first down, running two plays in a row is a higher percentage conversion rate rather than throwing twice in a row.

Yeah that's very true. Two runs in a short yardage situation is almost always > two passes in that same situation
