Well, if we're gonna get into it, saying outrageous and offensive things is fun and funny. Saying them with another person is also a bonding experience because you've both violated a social norm together.

For no reason, I called adultswim a faggot on here a while ago just to see if I could. Nobody said anything, and the experience was delightful to me. Did it again about the guy who wouldn't publish The Daily Tar Hell because of his personal protest against hatred:

I agree that there are worse, larger issues in racism that need to be dealt with of course. But these students also do need to be punished and dealt with as well. Both are true.

I don't see the contradiction here. One of the ways you fix institutional problems is by throwing problematic people out of the institutions. It's worked pretty well so far.
