When I was in 7th grade I cheated a guy out of a Hank Aaron baseball card by inflating the actual value of several cards I wanted to trade him for. He knew I was lying but for whatever reason chose to trust me anyway and traded.
The cards I traded him so long ago are worthless now but the Hank Aaron I got has basically held it's value. I've been trying to track him down so I can give it back to him. 6/5/2015 9:16:21 PM |

There's a hotel within walking distance of my work that has a happy hour for guests with self-serve kegs of miller lite and red oak. I'll pop over there and have a few beers after work a few times a month. Since my company spends a lot of money with them to put up engineers who come in for training, I just keep my badge on and tell myself "my company keeps this place going." It's lame I guess. I don't even like those beers, but they are beers.
I've printed several books at work.
I used to work at a sock distribution warehouse while in college. Didn't have to buy socks for a while.
And I think grumpy mentioned it, but yeah I always lie about how much I drank, though it's always less than I had 6/7/2015 1:26:47 AM |

I really like to graze the bulk food bins at whole foods.
I used to keep a large mcdonalds cup in my truck and just go get free refills whenever I was near one.
I actually thought of a bunch of grimy shit, but don't want to ruin my impeccable TWW reputation by posting all of it, 7/31/2015 4:01:33 PM |

back when i was a bartender, i would regularly pocket cash whenever it was busy and someone ordered a bunch of drinks at the bar. so easy to get away with. you ring it up on the computer and tell the customer how much it's going to be, but you don't send the order and delete the transaction after they've handed you've given them their drink and change. obviously doesn't work for credit cards, but people paying cash never want a receipt. sometimes, i could make an extra $200 a shift. an obvious solution would be to install video cameras and audit the system to see when items are entered, but my employer wasn't too bright.

I let the phone ring all the way to voicemail when I don't want to talk to someone, I don't end the call early because I don't want them to know I'm on my phone waiting for them to stop calling. 2/25/2016 9:56:08 PM |

my roommate in college would ring everything up as bananas because they were always like 50 cents a pound. that's a pretty steep discount over a lot of produce out there - especially things like red bell peppers that were like $4 each at certain points in the year. I don't think he ever got caught and even if he did all he would have to say is he put in the wrong UPC or whatever.5/4/2017 4:53:52 PM |
