I bit on the generator. Needed one anyways, and I figure if I'm not spending my money on an echo, I might as well get something that would be useful for the family. Checked all around for pricematching and that's a pretty damn good deal. Combined with the $10 credit when you buy a $50 gift card, brought it down to $137. Cashed in all of my $5 credits from Bing rewards and I got this biznatch for $fiddy out the door!

it's only 1200W power on that 120v. You could plug in a surge protector but you will still only get 1-2 appliances off of it, and nothing high draw like a space heater or microwave.

think of it more like cellphone chargers and a TV or coffee maker.

Just trying to educate. That unit outputs 1200 watts. For reference, most space heaters (like folks might run off a generator when the power is out after an ice storm) are 1500 watts.
