they've already won a championship. i think a historic season would be more impressive than a 2nd championship but they are deep enough that the three can be accomplished together.

^^I think they're really playing with a huge chip on their shoulder since so many people dismissed their title run, either saying the Cavs would've beat them had at full strength, or that they had a cake walk to the Finals since they didn't have to face the Spurs. Given how much better Steph, Harrison Barnes, and even Draymond have been playing this year, I really do think they're out to prove to everyone that they're a historically great team.

How is Kobe still a starter on an NBA squad? 1/14 shooting. 1/14! The juxtaposition between a dominant Warriors team and a putrid Lakers jv-squad was hard to watch. I remember the Lakers being so dominant for the better part of my life, and it wasn't that long ago that the Warriors were absolute bottom dwellers. Madness.

There really isn't much to talk about NBA-wise other than the Dubs win streak. There's not a whole to talk about in the NFL either since it's 3-4 awesome teams that have their divisions essentially locked up and a few teams hovering around .500 hoping for a playoff spot. But yeah, Sportscenter is terrible for the most part unless it's during the playoffs for either NFL/MLB/NBA.

melo, like kobe has held his team hostage. eating up a huge chunk of the cap space to prevent them from picking up other key contributors. Also you have to consider if he'd be willing to play well with another superstar. It was pretty clear when he chose new york over chicago/houston that he was more interested in a big pay day rather than competing for a title.

Looks like the western conference finals will take place between two of the best 3 NBA teams ever. Its also likely to easily be the best two teams to ever play each other in a series.
