2nd pick in a PPR draft. Guess I'm going OBJ.

^ Julio in PPR. Wide difference in number of catches between the two last year (Julio ~140 and OBJ ~95).

Dunno about that pick. Dude languished on my team last year with no production...not sure I even got a good week out of him. http://www.sbnation.com/2016/9/7/12839550/justin-forsett-fantasy-football-running-backs

I would have taken Julio. I think he will have more catches. And for more yardage. TDs Im not sure.

The lack of quality depth at RB in fantasy is crazy...

All these back by committee teams.

I couldn't handle having either Foster, Jennings, or Forsett on my team

let alone all 3

Jennings has to be one of the most maddening fantasy players of this decade

^I have him on my other FF team as a 4th RB along with Miller, L. Murray, and Woodhead.

With that said, would you start Jennings (@ DAL) or Woodhead (@ KC) at flex this week in a PPR league?

Jennings needs 1 thing to be successful, a heavy volume of carries. He's proven that, the problem last year is that he was hurt part of the year and never got the volume he needed. Down the stretch he DID get the volume and looked really good.

Now Andre Williams is hurt and they seem committed to giving him plenty of touches and trying to work Perkins in a little bit as the game dictates. I'd hope Jennings starts well and then look to move him if I was worried about his production tapering off.

I drafted Jennings last year and dropped him before the mid-way point of the season. Barring injuries, he might get a look from me during Lacy or Martin's bye week.

Can't tell if you're surprised he lasted that long, or if you think the end of the 4th round is too early to take the 2nd best fantasy TE

I wouldn't play Benjamin.

I would play Fuller, he will get lots of passes this week.

I also really like Travis Benjamin in San Diegos pass happy offense.
_______

Also I'm not sold on Melvin Gordon at all...I think Woodhead is still the #1 RB there by far.

12 team league, I had the 10th pick...not that anyone cares about my team, which is RB weak I think

AJ Green
Brandon Marshall
Alshon Jeffrey
CJ Anderson
Jordan Reed
Carson Palmer
Matt Jones
LA Rams
Marvin Jones Jr.
Justin Forsett
Andy Dalton
Martellus Bennett
Will Fuller
Mason Crosby

For some reason, RBs and QBs went really early. Not really happy with my RBs but each year random RBs pop up on the waiver wire so I can hold out.

Maybe I'm crazy but I'd probably roll the Denver D(have to after the SB and seeing as Olsen is a bit banged up and didn't play in the preseason), Winston, and Benjamin."

I'm still struggling with this. I have a hard time keeping my fandom out of the equation so I don't want to sit on Cam. I want him to have a monster game so my gut (which in fantasy is often wrong) wants me to bench the Denver D.

Week 1 I believe in playing your "studs", the players you drafted high. You start Denver's D, it's not like Cam's and Co are going to drop 30 points on them and they'll get negative, they're going to get some sacks/turnovers and limit them to no more than 21-24 points.

The D wasn't drafted high. I'm seeing a lot of predictions that the Vikings D will gain more points against the Titans...though I don't think it will make more than a 2 point difference.

I don't know about QBs, but RBs went early because there are so few full-time starters and guys who you can count on every week. you're right about those RBs being weak. I do love the Marvin Jones and Martellus Bennett picks though. He could very well end up a top 5 tight end this year, like a better Aaron Hernandez only with less murders.

another one that I'm having a hard time with (0.5ppr):

Jeremy Hill vs. Jets
TJ Yeldon vs. GB

I've got Hill in there for now, probably because I took him much higher in the draft than TJ. I could see the Jets D stuffing the Bengals run, while the Jags will need to throw the ball to keep up with the high scoring Packers

also, same league:

Allen Hurns vs. GB
Vincent Jackson @ Atlanta

I thought everyone shied away from Minnesota's defense since they don't have a QB anymore so their defense is gonna be on the field all the time

(assuming you didn't have your draft pre-Bridgewater injury

I went with my gut. Started Cam and Benjamin who both exceeded expectations, and I benched the Broncos D who were short of the ESPN projection. Hoping it pays off with the Vikings D on Sunday.

For the first time I ever I have too many RBs to choose between. Need 2 starters plus a flex:

Eddie Lacey vs JAX
Carlos Hyde vs LA
Latavius Murry vs NO
Jeremy Langford vs HOU
Rashad Jennings vs DAL

(Michael Crabtree and Eric Ebron also available for flex)

I feel like Lacey, Hyde, and Murray are the safest bets, but at the same time Lacey may end up with fewer carries. Thoughts?

ESPN projections have Hyde and Crabtree being the top scorers of that list...which means if I follow that advice they'll both be terrible but if I ignore it then whoever I bench will have a monster week.

so i was asked to join a league from one of our vendors. figured, why the hell not. draft was Tuesday night, and it wasn't until about an hour before the draft I learned it is a 16 team league. i was all wtf dude. so anyway, after the draft, i think i like the team i drafted in this league better than the team i drafted in my 14-team work league:

QB Mariota 8
RB L Murray 2
RB Gurley 1
WR B Marshall 3
WR J Matthews 7
WR M Floyd 5
TE Ertz 6
K Haushka 13
DEF CIN 14

QB Prescott 12
RB T Coleman 11
RB C Michael 10
WR K Benjamin 4
WR K White 9
WR S Coates 15

is this team cool or nah

After some injuries this week (damnit, Gronk) I only have 2 players left to choose between for a flex... Victor Cruz and Justin Forsett. I picked up Cruz with the last overall pick thinking he could get good yardage with all the coverage on OBJ. Forsett I feel is lucky to even be on a roster. Thoughts?

Rishard Matthews, Torrey Smith, Pierre Garcon, CJ Spiller, and others available for pickup.

Forsett is still gonna start. That doesnt mean much, but it is what it is. Don't let his release/ resigning influence you. That was just a way for the Ravens to keep an extra guy under contract.
