thats the problem. say we end up pulling this game out, which isnt set in stone AT ALL, gott will come out and say shit like "this was a tough win on the road, vs a conference team, we made some good plays, etc..."

in reality, BC sucks ass and this should not be close. this team should not lose to anyone by 50 pts or be close vs BC. he should call someone out sometime.

Abu is very athletic but not a very good basketball player. He has no post moves beside a rare good hook shot. He pisses me off shooting one foot inside the three point line and never hitting the shot. And I swear lately he has about ten potential rebounds every game that hit his hands and go flying to the other team. And Yurtseven looks like a scared little puppy out there.

definitely agree about Abu. he's like CJ Leslie in that regard. athletic freak, tons of "potential", but completely lacking as a basketball player. every once in a while he'll put it together for a game and look pretty solid in doing so. but he just isn't skilled and polished enough to be a reliable scoring option.

I've been saying this about Abu for sometime. He's so frustrating because he's an incredible athlete and for the most part seems to hustle. But his fundamentals are weak and his two scoring options are a long jump shot and dunks.

in part, i think that blame falls on our coaches. none of our big men have developed a strong post game since Richard Howell and hell Vandenberg showed more improvement than most people ever predicted he would. but Abu and Leslie are/were frustrating because they have all the tools (different positions, kinda, but still) to be very good players but they never took that next step from being an athletic freak to being a polished forward that relies on savvy and skill as much as athleticism

The problem with Abu and leslie is they have no natural position. Abu is to short, leslie was too weak to play 4/5. They both don't have the range, quickness, or ball handling to play 3. So they are in a no man's land.

Abu may be able to so something in the NBA, but if you can't put him at 5 by himself and he is inefficient as a 3 then we won't make it.
