finally checked out the Brand New album. I enjoy them ok but it almost bugs me that I've never been able to really get into them since on paper they seem a band I would like quite a bit.

Also, the new Turnover record is enjoyable but nowhere near Peripheral Vision for me on my first couple listens.

Just listed to A Crow Looked at Me by Mount Eerie for the first time and holy shit, I have never heard a more gut wrenching album before. A great album but I don't think I'm going to replay that one too much.

I could listen to Godspeed forever, love the new stuff. It's a shame their tour only has one stop in the US and it's at a festival. I still might try to go, I saw them a couple years ago and they put on an absolutely incredible show.

And yeah I've never seen Godspeed - definitely on my bucket list.

Finally, I saw a guy live this past Friday that was super fun: Alex Cameron. My sister saw him play in a record store in Asheville a year or two ago and turned me on to his debut album Jumping the Shark. But he just put out a new one and has been touring the US. I really like the album and the live show made me enjoy him even more. Definitely worth checking out. The show was even more fun because it was to like 50 people at a dive here.

New Killers album Wonderful Wonderful came out last Friday. Their first studio album in the last 5 years.

As a long time Killers fan...I don't think it's any good.

Same. When I was in LA last fall for Deafheaven/Ghost, they were playing a small show at a cool little communal theater space one night and I was able to go check their set out. It was cool to go see some NC dudes randomly while in LA.

Looking forward to seeing them again when I know more material.

i checked it out. not something I personally really get into these days but it wasn't bad to me. Seemed on par with his last album and both seemed like big steps up from anything he has done in a while. But I haven't kept up with him to really have much of an informed opinion beyond that on him.

Mainly came to say it's an In Rainbows kinda day Can't believe it's been 10 years.

St. Vincent was kinda meh for me. I do enjoy it a lot but nowhere near the last few at first few listens. Still good.

This new Black Dahlia Murder is super fucking good from them. Best album since Nocturnal 10 years ago imo.
