But here is where, and why, I doubt that Kaep actually wants to play football.

You're a NFL GM. You have 2 options for a back-up QB:
Kaep has been reported to have asked for $20m/season to play in the NFL/AFL.
Peterman who has made $1.2m over 3 seasons in the league and is making $408k this season.

That's an absolute no-brainer. Kaep isn't worth that much money, and frankly I think he knows that. If he really wanted to get into the league, he'd take a one-year deal to prove he can still ball out, instead he makes unrealistic demands. That would make Kaep one of the top 15 paid QBs in the NFL, and NO ONE is paying that.

This is the dude that Sean Payton has compared to Steve Young and has said he's been grooming him for the future after Brees. While I've seen him be a gadget and special teams player and I have no clue on his NFL upside, who knows what his upside is at this point, he had a decent game at QB for the Packers his first year in the league(2 passing TDs and 1 rushing TD). Kaep's agent reportedly reached out to the Saints and they didn't call him back, as they shouldn't. With Brees coming back, Bridgewater being a high-paid back-up, and Hill being on the roster and loved by the coach, there is no reason to sign a guy like Kaep.

I agree and I think I said that in my first post. The Saints don’t have a need for him. It doesn’t sound like the Panthers think Cam will be out long (although I’m cool with sitting him as long as possible to get him healthy), so Kaep probably isn’t a viable option if the Panthers expect Cam to be back in a couple weeks - I don’t even think Cam is officially out for this week. The Jets probably have the strongest case to sign Kaep...Darnold is out for an undefined length of time, Trevor Siemian then got hurt so they’re on QB #3 and just signed some dude named David Fales...a 6th round pick in 2014.

That is exactly the number quoted when the AAF pursued him. In 2017 he said he'd sign for $10m but needed a chance to start. If you have a starting QB, do you really want Kaep coming in demanding a chance to start? Now not only do you need a specific offense that tailors to Kaep's playing style, have a need at QB without an established starter, but you need to also be willing to make him the highest paid back-up in the league.

@Houston - They have a good offense and a pass rush that can take over games their secondary has been suspect.

Jacksonville - They have a backup in as well, formidable defense can't go 0-3 at home

Tampa in London - With a healthy Cam probably would have won that game. Still winnable

If you go 2-1 would be sitting good with a chance at division. Go 1-2 still would have hope for season. Go 0-3 chance at winning season is over send Cam to IR get a good draft pick.

Allen is really weird to judge tbh. His arm talent is elite starter level, and he seems to have a decent feel for the game, but he just seems small and the fumble issue is a big problem. Really hope he doesnt end up just good enough for us to commit to (if Cam is more injured that we thought or w/e) but not good enough to be great.
