I could see a team possibly taking a late second round flier on him just because he's a good rebounder. But he's never going to a rotation guy in the NBA. He's either an undersized 5 (LOL at UNC listing him at 6'11, probably closer to 6'9.5) who isn't a rim protector or he's a 4 with extremely below average ball handling and shooting skills.

But yeah he doesn't fit the mold of a modern NBA big. Plus he'll be 24 before this season is over. They'll be drafting kids 5 years younger than him.

The Doc Rivers hire is already paying off. Lose to the 14 win blazers with some incredibly bad end of game coaching including (but not limited to) having giannis receive the inbounds pass down 3 instead of literally any other player on the floor. He was then fouled and proceeded to miss both free throws, a not completely unexpected result from a 66% free throw shooter.

according to Bucks twitter, it’s the same end-of-game play that they ran successfully against the Kings recently, it just got fucked up

regardless, it’s silly to use one result a few games into his coaching there as an “I told you so”

Do we really expect Doc on the Bucks to be appreciably different from Doc in Philly or LA where he was also known as poor at in-game adjustments and strategy?

He is a great player's coach. I think the modern NBA requires more than that and it's a shame the Bucks didn't hire Nick Nurse (apparently Giannis put the stop to that) over the summer.
