I can't say I agree with this part. Young was not the "lock No.1 pick". There were LOTS of questions about who was the best QB in the class. I'd say most said Stroud was the guy with the best chance of success. Young had big red flags, as did the other early first round guys like Richardson and Levis.

So obviously Tepper is not going to sell unless some intrepid reporter finds some sort of racist or sexual infidelity hidden away.

I feel like our O-Line has been inconsistent since Ryan Kalil left/retired. Just feels like the scouting department has no direction and that probably has to do with revolving door of head coaches.

Bryce Young is noticeably worse than last year. I know it’s only 2 games into the new coach (maybe should’ve played him more in preseason idk just a thought) but when Canales was brought in specifically to help fix Bryce and/or build an offense that Bryce can succeed in and you’re already benching him and he’s shown no signs of improvement…not great!

I realize Tepper is making this call, not Canales. But regardless of the benching we can all see that Bryce is regressing. It’s one thing for Bryce to fail last year. It was shitty situation with a coaching staff that seemed pretty clearly not bought in on him. But Canales took the job knowing the QB situation. And it’s still very broken. The problems are deeper than just QB play. But it’s been awful. And we’ve seen our share of bad QB play for the Panthers. But this is just brutal to watch.

Found it interesting that Corral was cut by the Vikings as well.

Poor QB decisions were made by Tepper, hopefully he understands that and is less hands on with personnel decisions.

Corral is your average mid round QB. Most struggle to stay on rosters. Not to mention every single team that picked a QB in the 2022 draft whiffed besides SF drafting Purdy with the very last pick. I think 6th round pick Skylar Thompson is the only other QB still on the roster of the team that drafted them. It was a historically bad QB draft across the board.

I laugh at anyone who expects a 3rd/4th+ round QB to ever contribute as a starter. Those are guys you draft for positional depth, anything else is just gravy. Having any expectations of them starting or actually being good NFL QBs is a fool's errand.
