WTF. Morrow benched, feel like the first bad coaching move this playoff. hope Chatty draws back. like crazy that you put morrow out when you have a Russian juggernaut that played well vs Caps.

Freddie faced tough shots (most related to bad D), but he's got to match Bob. also Freddie played the puck way too much. almost all, besides settling it, were icing or turnovers.

i didn't recognized that Canes teams. i don't know if they wanted to match hitting and eyed bodies and not pucks (Ghost). make hits when they are there but otherwise control the puck

1st period Thursday is big, and need a W overall, to mentally get past this 0-13.

also it looked like a lot of shots by us right in the middle of the chest or close glove. need more high and low and tips and traffic.

Freddie wasn't great, but also not at all the reason we lost.

Not sure a single one of those goals was on him. 1st: great backhand on the pp from an unmarked guy like 4 feet away. 2nd: awful turnover by Staal and a perfect screen from Morrow who didn't bother to either play the puck/man or go down and attempt to block the shot. Just stood his big body there so the goalie couldn't see shit. 3rd: 2 on 1 "defended" by Morrow. Jackson Blake's lazy skating caused this to become an odd man rush as he just let his man out hustle him to the offensive zone despite initially being good position. 4th: Morrow takes a completely dumb and unforced penalty and then the PK just lets Marchand stand at the top of the crease for an eternity without ever bothering to do anything about it. Honestly don't even remember the 5th goal because the game was well over by this point and I had basically checked out.

Hard to "match Bob" when the defense in front of you is playing like absolute shit.

Defense was absolutely abysmal last night. Morrow was awful and showed every bit of someone that has not played in a while. I think every goal Freddie was beat on his high right side and that seemed to be the Panthers focus on shots. Yes some were opportunity from bad turnovers.

Bad penalties, even without that BS call on Aho in the 1st. Morrow's delay was the worst.

I am also sick of that clown Eddie Olczyk, every time the Canes actually defend themselves from dirty players and teams he absolutely tears into the Canes. The Panthers are full of goons they have already had a player suspended 2 games for being dirty, and the have the king of douchey players in Brad Marchand who rightfully got ejected for instigating that whole incident and he got a pass from old Eddie for throwing a high cross check before he dropped the gloves.

Canes need to come out energized and ready to go tomorrow, otherwise its going to be yet another ECF sweep.

Kotkaniemi can go he was not good these playoffs, took a completely unnecessary penalty that lead to a PP goal and changed momentum

Orlov was fucking terrible this series bad diagonal passes that were picked off and lead to several goals.

Nikishin looked pretty good and maybe could one day partner with Slavin. Defenseman will be where the Canes are most active since Burns and Orlov are free agents and based on age and performance I don't think the Canes will resign either of them. They also need some depth on the right wing

KK....depends on what Staal wants to do. If he wants to retire, then keep KK for 3C. If Staal is going to play another season or two we really dont have anywhere to put KK except 4th line and that just wont do

We have the cap space and assets necessary to improve if we can find players that want to be here. I'm optimistic about the next few seasons but goddamn I hate Florida with a fiery burning passion
