1) curves/colors to get the colors less reddish (i tend to always shoot sorta red in cases like this, if i set the white balance to "shade" 2) lens distortion correction to get the buildings to be straight (filter->distort->lens correction) 3) unsharp mask
its the barrel distortion that i didn't really have a great way of handling before finally making the upgrade to CS2. i don't yet understand the vanishing point option, but perhaps soon.

what a great thread.. i'm in the market for a DSLR, not sure which one yet, leaning towards the rebel though...
these were all taken with a Fuji S-5000, and for most of them I had no clue what i was doing, I was just trying to take some neat pictures I guess...
Please give me some feedback on them I would appreciate it greatly... I'm still new to this whole photo thing but am very interested in it as a hobby.
Thanks

^nice man - i like the fountain shot (with water droplets), the spiderweb, and the barnacles on the rocks.
i'm beginning to think its hard to make flowers look decent in shots, though we all try to. perhaps you need a point of reference, like the size of the spider on Ronny's leaf was nice.
^^guilty as charged

so i know this isn't exactly on topic, but i got a fuji (?) camera over a year ago, for christmas. at that time, my laptop was basically in the shitter. now i can't find the cd the software is on, so i can upload pics i take onto my laptop. i've tried just downloading the correct drivers from the website but it's still not enough to get it to work. is there something else I can do? i'd love to use this camera more, but i just don't b/c i can't get em on my computer. 7/26/2006 11:34:03 PM |

^i'd recommend getting a really inexpensive USB card reader to transfer the images onto your machine. the memory card will show up just like a drive, and you'll be able to drag and drop, no software needed.

just excited. 7/27/2006 11:39:58 PM |
