The crappy thing is we just switched over to a different provider or service or something because our other office was having time delays, so people who would call to do interviews would end up cutting people off in mid-sentence 90 percent of the time because it was off a few seconds. So fixing their shit broke ours.

Where are you? I came back from a vacation at Ocracoke yesterday; when we passed through the Mirlo Beach section of Rodanthe, around noon, there was already water washing over the road, as well as dunes encroaching the rest of the way up. Heard that a few hours later they closed NC 12 because the water reached a foot deep...

People who keep trickling in for events loooooooooong after they've begun, as well as people who are late, and want directions, but don't want to actually stay put to get directions.

Also:
Step A: call in a time-sensitive message, with directions to relay it immediately. It's heads-up kind of message, not an 'I need something' message
Step B: Come in, and find standard procedure was applied (i.e., leave it for someone else to deal with, the next day)
Step C: Email appropriate boss, with details, and get a response that person in Step B did the right thing.

Tell me, if it's a message left in the evening, for someone who will be there first thing in the morning (and the message relates to something first thing in the morning), by someone else who will also be there first thing in the morning

...What kind of sense does it make to have the person leaving the message give them the message the next day?

This is what I get for doing what I'm told.

We are the host of an annual awards thing that is a pretty big deal, and there are about 298347284 places and people nominated for the different categories. Other people were supposed to be in charge of making sure all the names were correct. Voting supposedly starts tomorrow. I just got the master list, and a good half of the items are clearly wrong. That means I have to fix them.
