never even picked one up, but deemarie has a 20 ga browning micro semi auto (just another "youth and small stature adult" shotgun) and i'd rather take it dove hunting or clay shooting than any of our full size shotguns

keep an eye out for Dick's in-house brand, Northwest Outfitters, that's what I got

Aluminum canoes will be pretty hot in the summer but you'll find them cheap on craigslist. The Northwest Outfitters are made out of a plastic material, not the greatest material for canoeing, but if you are on flatwater and know how to swim, you'll be fine.
