i think i may be done with spoilers from now on. already saw something before about how old jacob is (or at least a certain year when he is alive), and the finale has been written now too, so i'd be careful about what you choose to read so you don't spoil anything serious from the last episode.

I couldn't give less of a fuck how Mikhail lost his eye...but that is weird how he lost his eye in the alt-timeline. That has to be a clue to how the timelines fit together. Still, this episode was awful and boring.

Its a shame man in black doesn't realize that "shepherd" is claire. Which leads me to the question of where is christian and what role does he play in this whole thing? Claire ran away with him, she knows he's her dad but she doesn't know that shepherd is one of the names on the cave.

I'm thinking the smoke monster was simply in christian's image before he moved to locke's. We may never find out.

i thought this was a pretty lame episode. they didn't really accomplish anything except showing desmond for the last couple of seconds. i couldn't really even tell it was him or what the guy said when he said "mr. ____" until i watched it back. jin & sun's sideswipe just isn't that interesting to me. not sure why

and i think it might be all but certain that christian is not MiB. even though there was that scene in season 4 or 5 where christian showed up in the lobby of that building off the island and set off the smoke alarm, i think MiB saying he can't cross a body of water in this episode means that he couldn't have been controlling christian on the freighter when christian told michael he could go now or whatever it was.

haha and i love how desmond woke up from being drugged for however long to end up face down on a dock looking at sketchy ass sayid's head popping up out of the water

yeah, the reviewer on the onion/avclub suggested that her not speaking english could be related to the two realities merging. he also pointed out that Jin bumped his head in the "other" reality and she bumped hers in the regular one.

There was also a moment when she was looking in the mirror where she got that odd expression on her face. almost like she just realized something? and kinda similar to the puzzled look desmond would get when jumping back and forth.

The only thing that makes me hesitant of that, is that when desmond's consciousness was going back and forth, he knew he was going back and forth (we don't know if he was simply going back in time or if he was going to a different "reality"). I would really hate for them to do the same thing and now the people don't even realize it's happening (Sun would definitely say something) or to introduce something completely new. There is already a "consciousness jump/meld" method established with Desmond and Faraday's rats.

desmond back in the fold finally, sayid is on hydra island looking to gather info. or maybe even cause problems, richard returned and that group is ready to head to hydra, we know Whidmore's group is interested in the em pockets for some reason (we may learn more about that)... there's a lot of potential.
