The Office is as good as it's been since season 2. The New Girl is better than it's ever been. This episode wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either. It's only 1 episode back, it's far too early to tell if it's fallen off completely or just having a slow start.

I dont know how to feel about this episode. It was not terrible, but it was odd. I'm happy it is back, though.

So grateful for this line: "Don't ruin it by approving it."

I've needed a way to express that sentiment at least once a week for my entire life.

I could've done without the extra-sappy last minute, but much better than last week.

That was a pretty good episode of Saved by the Bell.

When the best thing in a TV episode is the idea (but not the execution) of a tag with Luke Perry and Jennie Garth, you're in trouble.

I only laughed once... it was pretty bad. But when they have Troy with Britta they are going to have some of these third wheel episodes. Might as well throw some weird Annie/Jeff character plot in as the B plot, just to get it over with. They could have completely canned the C plot with Pierce and Shirley.

So I know you guys are less than pleased so far, but can we all agree that, for some reason, Jeff Winger is super hot this season? What up with that?

I'm so excited for tonight's episode. This is the most cerebral TV show that's ever existed. It references itself!

That episode was okay in general, but it's very obvious that the new crew has been told not to go too far down the rabbit hole with the homages. Sucked all the life out of this one.

On-screen guide lists Alison Brie as guest on Ferguson tonight. Actual guest: Gillian Jacobs...WITH BROWN HAIR.

I agree. I didnt hate the episode, but instead of shawshank being well executed it felt forced. Had no life to it as a result. Blah.

Haha Adam as Jeff's brother and fucking Castle's dad who bailed on him also bailed on Winger. Kinda funny that he played almost the exact same role on TV in less than 2 weeks.

MacGuffin Institute. LOL.

Always love a Garrett appearance.

RENT MEMENTO!

The Grizzly Man bit was really good.

Using New Radicals was SUPER Scrubs-y. I'm sure that was the idea, but I don't know how I feel about it.

That was the most "classic Community" episode of the season, but still doesn't stand up to things like the previous doc episode (Pierce in hospital).

Of course. It's very obvious where they've been directed to go. With that said, I'm going to watch all the episodes, because it's worth 22 minutes of my week to enjoy the few good gags that are there.

Consider the transformation into a completely generic sitcom (with Magnitude) complete.

This show has undeniably fallen off.

I believe their call out to it was in the Inspector Spacetime episode, during which they mentioned, in reference to "inspector spacetime" something like "the attraction of the show is that it doesn't talk down to their audience or over explain complex references".

RIP community, you will be missed.

I think the fact that they were the only new episode of a show on prime time last Thursday competing with March Madness, leads me to believe that they are just trying to roll through the remaining episodes and be done with the show. Reminds me of the treatment that "Don't Trust the B**** in Apt 23" got.

The most egregious "grind through these episodes" I can think of is Arrested Development.

They doubled up on episodes at least once during season three, and then ran the last four episodes all on the same night with a RERUN of Prison Break.
