IMO, Carter is the primary reason the UNC defense was so good last year -- not Austin, not Sturdivant, not Quinn. That guy plays has fast as I've ever seen a college LB play. I think his 40 time is in the low 4.4s? I swear he made half the tackles in the state game ... without him, we might have won by a lot more.

Losing any of the stars hurts, but Carter is the one that would hurt the most IMO, especially since his backup is completely unproven.
