"Top Romney aide Sununu suggests Powell endorsed Obama because he’s black

“Frankly, when you take a look at Colin Powell, you have to wonder whether that’s an endorsement based on issues or whether he’s got a slightly different reason for preferring President Obama,” Sununu said.
Asked what those might be, Sununu pointed to race.
“Well, I think when you have somebody of your own race that you’re proud of being president of the United States, I applaud Colin for standing with him,” Sununu said."

My new favorite derogatory term for Romney courtesy of a Yahoo commenter is "Mittwit." Alternatively, you could call his followers Mittwits. I would never use it, but I think it's kinda witty.

"We've witnessed many Mitt Romneys, but the one unearthed by the Boston Globe's Murray Waas yesterday is perhaps the most vicious and cruel: a zealot who, as Massachusetts governor, became hellbent on stigmatizing the children of gay and lesbian parents, labeling these kids as outcasts and causing them to suffer hardship throughout their lives.
...
[In] 2005, Romney spoke to conservative voters in South Carolina, as he trained his eye on the presidency. "Some gays are actually having children born to them,'' he said. "It's not right on paper. It's not right in fact. Every child has a right to a mother and father.''"

That's the stupidest reason to vote for an elected official that has ever been thought.

And its the entire basis of the Romney campaign. "Vote for me because I'm not him"

Let's forget the web of lies, the bullshit policies, the economic policy that is guaranteed to fail. The unbelievable social backwardness, the horrible foreign policy blunders, the shady as shit religion, his nut job VP, his complete disconnect with the middle class and working poor.

He isnt Obama so he must be better. What a great bit of logical thinking there.

FIFY

As far as why I support Romney would take a long time to write and I'm just not gonna waste my time trying to explain or persuade you. If you like Obama I can't help ya. If you are still undecided, I can't help ya and you probably have a hard enough time just deciding what to eat off In-n-Out Burger menu.
Nothing anyone says matters. Actions and records matter.
Obama has a proven record of failure and Romney has a record of success and some failures.
I'm firing Obama and hiring Romney.

I found it interesting how CNN is doing all this reporting on how racist white people are as only 42% of White people are going to vote for Obama.

See there's my problem with Mitt and Co. I can accept that Obama has failed In a number of his goals. He has publicly owned up his failures, his missteps and the failures and missteps of his administration..

That isn't spinning a web of lies. When he has been confronted with numbers, he has not lied about them. He has certainly stayed on his talking points, but he hasn't lied (the current jobs numbers are a good example. Romney pointed out accurately that the reason for fewer unemployed was due to fewer people in the workforce, not growth. Obama never denied this, he just stuck to his 30x months of job growth stat).

Making a campaign promise and trying to achieve it but failing it not a lie, it's a failure.

Romney on the other hand has publicly lied to the country dozens and dozens of times JUST during this election cycle. From his continual lies about deficit reduction, to his social policy lies, getting tripped up over his own lies in the last two debates ON NATIONAL TELEVISION, getting caught via hidden camera either lying to his donors or lying to the rest of us, lying about his stance with Iran, lying about his income tax manipulation, lying about the indiscretions of his youth, lying about his views on women and the poor.... The list literally goes on and on.

I supported and donated to John McCain last cycle. He might be a bit ring wing for me, but at least the guy could keep his shit straight from week to week. I would have voted for him too if he hasn't have selected that moon bat Sarah Palin.

I don't care too much for Obama, but I'll take an honest person over a sleazy fucking liar every single time, no matter how much "fail" they incur. It shouldn't be difficult to find a leader of your party who has some dignity, integrity and ethics when you are being nominated for the president of the United States of America.

Obama has been more truthful than most politicians.

http://www.politifact.com/personalities/barack-obama/
http://www.politifact.com/personalities/mitt-romney/

Obama false + pants on fire: 16%
Romney false + pants on fire: 25%

Anyone who follows what they say finds these stats fairly representative. Anyone who's defended Romney on the truthfulness of his statements is a sheep. Nonetheless, Obama has done okay as a politician, which means he's been abysmal as a person.

Anyway, saying that a politician lies is, in fact, political itself. It's what a fairy tale is to a scientific theory. It can't be used to make predictions. Sometimes, simple hyperbole is classified as lies like "the US is bankrupt". The term doesn't have technical legal applicability.

I remember one time I was about 8 years old visiting a friend's house. We played a racing game, and I took one controller and we played split screen. I thought the controls were fairly unresponsive. My friend finished and I realized that I had the wrong screen. None of my action was affecting the outcome and I didn't realize until it was too late.

That's basically the relationship American's vote has to our outcomes. You're not driving, you're watching a screen that's meant to make you think your control input is affecting things. It's not. The right course of action is to stop turning the wheel and stand up so that hopefully other people around you notice too.

^^ looking at the first 14 "lies" on the site you posted,

Only three of them are actual lies, one of which is questionable (the fast and furious) in that its entirely possible that Obama really didn't know about its start.

The one about getting back every penny from the bailouts is really bad.
As is the one about big bird.

There are several "lies" that weren't Obama, but other democrats or campaign ads that were misleading but not outright lies.

and then there are several self-checked "lies" that just link to another page on the same site with more drivel. The "you didn't build that" is especially hilarious, since EVERY SINGLE business that the GOP propped up publicly to try and hammer at that quote did, in fact, take government grants and loans.

Again, the problem here is that you, like all the rest aren't replying by saying "Romney isn't a liar and a sleazy politician, he's a good honest guy". Because you know he is sleazy and dishonest. Instead, the classic comeback is, "hey, we'll look Obama has lied some too".

Obama has lied about big bird, getting caught in hyperbole, and timings of knowledge of events.

Romney is lying about the economy, taxes, social services, foreign policy and women's rights.

I know which I care a lot more about. Hyperbole is a lie I can live with.

Absolutely. If Romney does to me like Obama did to everyone that voted for him I'll be calling for his removal from office. I don't understand how any same person that voted for Obama doesn't have voter's remorse. Obama has talked much and delivered very little.

If things are great in 4 years I'm gonna blame Romney too.

obama drove me to re-register green and i am voting for jill stein. that said, if i lived in a state that mattered, i would probably vote for obama.

but to think that romney is a better candidate than obama is much more insane than to vote for obama again. the magnitude of ill intentions is so much higher on the gop side it's amazing.

Don't believe all the hyperbole about the GOP.
What matters is the economy, the deficit and defense.
GOP is more moderate than all the radical noise would lead you to believe.
There is no war on the poor, Middle class, women, seniors or LGBT.
Once the economy gets better people will calm the fuck down.
