The sex isn't uniformly great, of course, but the duo perseveres, discovering better communication and a more adventurous sense of sexuality. Though commendably honest, the book reads more like a well-written diary free of any analysis; lacking conflict and any real story arc, it's a limp read. Virtually all their takeaways-tell your partner what you like, talk about your feelings, don't be afraid to try new things-have been repeated ad nauseum in other, better books (and countless magazine articles).
