i didn't/don't hate ja rule per say, but in hs i was really into punk music so the mention of ja rule was sort of a turn off to me. thank goodness for good looks when your music taste is questionable, i guess.

i need 4 appetizers for my girlfriend's birthday/divorce party next month. something not too labor intensive, not terribly expensive as far as ingredients go, and something easy to eat/nibble on without causing a big mess with forks/spoons/plates, etc.

i refuse to do chips and salsa, veggie trays, or any other appetizers that simply mean buying an ingredient and putting it in a bowl

There are a lot of good wrap recipes for parties that usually involve cream cheese in the middle. Cheese balls are pretty easy to make, and you can do either savory or sweet. The cheese baked olives I posted on here once that someone said looked gross tasted good. Spinach or sausage ball appetizers always go over well. Crab in cucumber cups. Baked ham & swiss rolls. I had a chicken sausage stuffed jalapeno recipe that was pretty baller. That's all I got.

a friend of mine is tagging along (we're headed to Asheville for the shindig) and she is doing these cream cheese tortilla wraps with ham and a few other ingredients. so i'm trying to come up with something veggie-centric, something that is mostly protein, something savory, and some kind of dip that works with both chips and fresh veggies.

i've already decided on dessert: my homemade carrot cake bites with cream cheese frosting on the side for dipping.
