if you look at my profile my post rate is different every few minutes. right after I first registered and made my first post, my post rate was in the 100s now it is in the 70s. After this post I'm guessing it will go back up to the 90s?

Dog currently lethargic. But hell I'm currently lethargic. Nothing in her poop this morning. Vaseline sandwich fed. *sigh* worried about my pup. 2/8/2013 8:23:53 AM |

^^^^yeah, you might want to take her in- what vet do you go to? cause you don't want that thing getting caught up somewhere in her GI tract, or even worse, perforating and causing a septic issue
xrays should at least be able to show if there is any distension in the bowel loops or possibly some plycation (sp?). it is definitely not something you want to wait on. Has she vomited or regurged at all?
^well that is a good sign- just keep an eye on her and know that it will be cheaper for you to take her in today than having to go anywhere this weekend (because you will probably have to hit up a 24 emergency clinic, or even a specialty clinic, both of which are $$$$)

I called this morning and they were the ones to suggest the Vaseline sandwich. And I say lethargic but she's 9.5. The way she's acting is rather normal honestly...I'm just over thinking/paranoid. She pooped this morning but it wasn't it there. If she doesn't poop again by lunch time I'm calling back.
She ate (possibly...more than likely...as I saw her chewing and shoved my fingers down her to try and stop her from swallowing but it was already gone) a small, dime sized, piece of plastic that broke off a container that fell out of our freezer. When I put the pieces back together one was missing.
And she hasn't vomited or regurgitated. We go to Crossroads Vet.
And I'm not worried about $. I have pet insurance. And she's...yeah...worth it. [Edited on February 8, 2013 at 8:44 AM. Reason : ]

hopefully it is sitting underneath the fridge or something. I'm sure she is probably fine- but is this is one of those thing that is better to be overconcerned about than to push off. I think if you just keep looking out for the tell tale signs, and everything is ok, then you should be good!
ok, Xroads is good- they have their own Ultrasound in house (we still go there to do most of them but they can get the most common stuff), so if they are concerned, I trust that they could recognize if there is a foreign body or not. But hopefully it won't come to that.
