I sent P&G customer service a question and it was flagged as spam.

I ordered something from drugstore.com with PayPal and despite selecting my current address, after I clicked submit it processed as shipping to my old address.

After they canceled the order and I re-added everything to my cart, I tried to update all my info on PayPal and it won't let me do things like drop my old CC that I don't have anymore. And also for some reason I am in PayPal as Mylastname Inc. and I have never known why.

The order is still "pending" in PayPal, so it's showing my balance is now $10, meaning if I resubmit my order right now, I'm pretty sure it would draw from my bank account instead of PayPal.

The email that PayPal sent me to confirm a change has a "click here to confirm" button, but in reality it just looks like a button and isn't actually clickable.

The internet is pissing me the fuck off today.

This poor family. They have been trying for years to have a kid. Many miscarriages. Finally they're pregnant and she had the baby yesterday, two weeks early. The baby has a congenital heart defect where the left side isn't fully developed and will need surgery. Then today they discover two pulmonary arteries going to the wrong organs and he's in emergency surgery to get them moved to the heart. It fucks your world up knowing this loving family is suffering and my stress is nothing compared to it. I hope, hope, hope baby Winston pulls through. :/

/end depressing story

I was talking with my friend yesterday about how we would never pay for IVF. Seems like a lot of money to spend without a guarantee of a healthy baby. Additionally, my genes aren't all that awesome, except for the fact I wasn't born with wisdom teeth. Adoption seems like a much better option.

i know a handful of women who have done ivf, and adoption was never an option. their husbands straight up said they would never love a child that wasn't really theirs.

My boyfriend said he got me a mop to replace the one he ruined. I went to use it today and it is literally just a mophead on a stick with no way to get the excess water off. Fml

how long does it take for a body to be prepared for burial? i am reading about this jewish couple who died this morning in a car accident and there are pictures in the article of their funeral.

whoops guess i should have read the article first

Quote :
"Jewish law calls for burial of the dead as soon as possible, and hours after their deaths, the Glaubers were mourned by at least 1,000 people at a funeral outside the Congregation Yetev Lev D'Satmar synagogue."

there are some faiths that have burial services in less than 24 hours. in fact, there was a case in India in the last year or two that involved a man who was declared dead, but actually wasn't dead. they realized he wasn't dead at his burial services that same day. i think it was India? i'm gonna go find the article.

well here's the article about prompt burial for the Jewish faith: http://www.jewish-funeral-guide.com/tradition/jewish-burial-society.htm

^^same here

and I feel bad because I buy the lactose free milk which is way more expensive

I'm sure with that family being orthodox, their shiva (mourning) period is gonna be intense. But it's nice because everyone takes care of the needs of the family so they can mourn properly.

For people that constantly have milk go bad...what do you buy it for? You know it comes in different sizes (at least regular milk...I'm sure there are limited options for lactose-free). Why not just buy it in smaller sizes.

i buy 1/2 gallon. usually i'll buy it to use for a particular recipe. then for the next like two nights i'll remember i have milk and drink a small glass. then i stop, don't use it to cook with, and it goes bad about half empty.

Whenever I have milk that's about to go bad, I do one massive chug and toss the rest. I can usually do a little over a quart, probably about 35 to 40 ounces.

I buy by the half gallon...they don't sell the lactose free in any smaller portions

I usually just eat it with cereal or oatmeal, so I make sure to buy a shit ton of that so I don't run out of stuff to use before I run out of milk

For you folks buying milk and it goes bad, buy organic. Much like fresh eggs lasting longer over store bought...bc the time between the cow and the store is less, by the time it gets to you there's more time before it goes bad. You'd benefit from the extra cost that way. Whereas i who has a kid that drinks two gallons in a week & a half, I buy the regular.
