i just watched the episode, had it recorded, although it didn't really answer any questions, i found it a strangely satisfying episode, maybe because it didnt really raise any new questions, and even though i've never really gotten that into many tv shows, it seemed rather emotional to me.

it kinda makes sense that it was boone, he really wasn't doing anything except following locke around, and he didnt really have any unresolved drama, he was over his sister. seems like most all of the other characters have things going on still

I wouldn't call the episode anti-climatic. Boone dying and the baby being born weren't exactly shocking, but I think Jack going after Locke is a pretty major shift in the plot.

nah, its been coming forever. the writers admitted the plot is based on the stand.
jack and locke are the two captains.

remember the whole moving to the caves fiasco?

boone saying shit about the plane and hatch fanned the flames.

nothing until...

April 27th - Special Episode "Lost: The Journey"
Flashbacks of the core characters illustrating who they were and what they were doing before the crash, and a look at the island itself; and a preview of the big season finale.

May 4th - The Greater Good (a.k.a. Sides)
Jack goes after Locke believing he had caused Boone's death. A Sayid-centric episode.

May 11th - Born to Run
A Kate-centric episode.

May 23th - Exodus (1)

May 24th - Exodus (2)

May 25th - Exodus (3)

The season finale originally scheduled for May 25, 2005 was only supposed to be 90 minutes long, but due to story changes and last minute filming, the series was upgraded to a 2-hour season finale, hence the 3rd episode Exodus(3).

speaking of the commercial

the voice on the radio is more pronounced as saying "WE'RE the survivors of flight blah blah blah"

i didn't catch that in the original airing, i thought he said "there were no survivors of blah blah"

interesting

and yes, there will be a second season

Quote :
"As to what the castaways will have to endure next season, Grillo-Marxuach said: "The second season is strictly top secret right now. Damon has alluded to his ideas about what the second season is going to be like, and once the first season is over, we are going to begin secret summit meetings to start bashing out how it will lay out over the course of the season. Come May, we'll have a lot more information about what's going to be happening. But our masterminds are very much at work on what that second season will be about." "

all those other episodes are "normal" episodes, except for the "special" episode April 27th.

look at my post above...that tells you when the rest of this season's episodes will air.

I heard the the finale won't answer any questions, but after the last shot we get scrolling text:

"It turns out that the monster was a figment of that black kid's imagination. Also, all that other wierd shit was coincidences.

The surviors of the crash ended up getting rescued like two weeks later by some chinese people.

THEND!!"
