nah, we were out of the car by the time they got there so they had no way to prove who it was. tags were linked to FredNCSU who had moved to nyc. we made up a fake name of who was driving and told them he had left with his gf, and they could probably be found at lake park. they asked who had the keys but they were in the ignition.

anyway, they just gave us a lecture about how they knew it was us, but they couldn't technically do anything since there was no proof.

i think the best part was when they were leaving one of them shined his flashlight across the yard and saw this and they just started shaking their heads.

Hey guys, I had been driving this car everywhere before I got my second one. It's of course OK (or legal if you like this word more, a cop told me YES EXPLICITLY) to drive it on road. Cars on road just slow down and yield to and keep away from me (I guess they are hating me at same time, hahaha!). I've seen cops several times on road or parking lots. Actually there are several cops that even came up to me and say hello to me. Yes, I mean that they say HELLO to me. They even ask me like, "do you like it", "do you think it's a good deal", and even "where did you buy". hahahahaha! I returned to my apartment pretty late, often like at 2am or later, but I think this car indeed makes me a little safer. Again, you guys are really welcome to come and check it to see if you like it. Thanks.

FS: 1987 Bronco II

Located in Statesville, NC (50 miles north of charlotte off I-77)

NEW:
-tires
-belts
-hoses
-shocks
-muffler
-brake pads (newer)
- thermostat (175deg), and recent coolant flush.
-paint, it's a fair job, looks great from >20 feet

the lowdown:
- smokes a little at times (I think valve stem seals)
- power steering leak
- pinion seal on rear axle has a leak
- no A/C
- no radio (will be removed before it's sold)

it runs and shifts fine, I have commuted with it (60 mile round trip) without problems. gets about 15mpg regardless.

Asking $1000, will entertain offers

Selling for my girlfriend, contact me for any information, pics:
joseph.n.h.anthony@gmail.com
704-450-3579 (leave message regarding bronco) call anytime before 10pm

FS: boss bv9250 double din head unit. features include:

-6.5" touch screen monitor
-dvd/cd/mp3/am/fm/tv(antenna included)
-inputs for camera, extra monitors, gps, etc.
-multiple rca outputs
-all in one design, no seperate "brain" box like a lot of models
-remote

i've opened the box and the harness was wired to a vehicle, but it's never actually been installed or used. for all intents and purposes it's new. cheapest i've seen it new is $375-400 plus shipping. feel free to post up anywhere cheaper. i want $350obo, or trade for something interesting.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.2L

the good:

-3.5" RE lift with pro comp shocks
-adjustable lower control arms with rebuildable joints
-upgraded tie rod/drag link/trackbar to heavier duty stuff
-two brand new hub assemblies up front
-arb bullbar with provisions for a winch
-custom square tube rear bumper with D rings
-custom 2x2 sliders with outriggers. work very well pivoting off rocks, keeping thing out of the door, and of course the rockers.
-front fenders trimmed to clear bigger tires
-31x10.50 bfg at's on 15x8 black rockcrawlers. two are in good shape, two will need replacing soon.
-body is straight and solid. normal wear/tear for a 11 year old vehicle.
-engine runs great with no issues. 50 series flowmaster sounds good. not so loud it's annoying, but you know it's there.
-body is really straight
-optima red top battery
-aftermarket cd player, can't remember brand off name. kenwood or pioneer i think. works well with the factory infinity amplifier and speakers.
-has a sunroof that works great. as do all the doors, windows, etc.
-transmission is flawless, shifts great.
-has new water pump, belt, and hoses
-overhead computer for temp, mileage, etc. and the lower information center for engine warnings, low fluid warnings, service intervals, etc. seems to work fine.
-140k miles overall
-mopar towing package which includes class IV reciever, larger alternator, and better cooling.
-it's completely loaded. a true luxury suv at the time. power everything works, leather, woodgrain, and even fancy seat warmers OOOH!

the bad:

-very small 1-2" tear in a seam on the drivers seat. all the other leather, door panels, etc. are great.
-the carpet in the cargo area shows some wear. it is covered up by a heavy duty all weather rubber mat though. the other carpet looks nice. there is also a weatherguard type mat in the front driver side.
-has rocklights mounted on the driver slider and inside the passenger front fender, but they need to be wired.
-its got some rock rash on the underside on the transmission crossmember, sliders, bumpers, etc. but what's the problem? that's what they're there for. if you want a street queen, 5 minutes with a black can of spraypaint will have you straight.
-strange humming/light vibration noise under acceleration coming from the front. i'm thinking it's just a worn out joint in the front driveshaft, but i'm not positive. i've driven it close to 100 miles now with no change. if you're coasting or the driveshaft is out, it won't do it. that's what leads me to believe it's a joint in the shaft. could be something in the front axle doing it, but spins all the time, even when the shaft is out. anyway, my point is it's very unlikely to be something major and doesn't keep it from being driven as is at all.
-the main thing is it needs to be back on the road is a new radiator. the one in it cracked this weekend. i was very careful that it didn't overheat though, never saw anything over 215 degrees. i'll get the radiator installed for a buyer, or take some off the price and you install.
-a/c is shady. it'll blow cold for a while, then go kind of ambient, blow cold again, go ambient. i'm thinking it just needs the pressure checked on the high side and a quick refill. it's obviously holding what little bit is in there. it's also not so low that the compressor isn't staying off so i don't suspect any leaks or the need for a full recovery/recharge. you might do a can of the dyed freon just to be sure though.

price: $5500obo if i have the new radiator installed. $5300obo if you take it as is. i can probably also throw in whatever parts i have around for it like stock wheels, spare axleshafts, etc. i will consider full/partial trades as well.

i'll deliver for free within the raleigh area, further for the cost of fuel.

should make someone a nice truck. all the comfort you could want inside, not so built you can't take trips in peace, yet has all the right parts to get you through a lot of trails. it'd be a formidable off roader with just tires and maybe one locker.

[image]http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z214/OldFarmMotorsports/Jeep/JEEP001.jpg]/image]

oh, and i've got a nice, clean idea to fab up some protection from the rear bumper corners to the area under the rear lights and the rear quarter panel area. it'll blend/cover in that area nicely and provide protection against whatever. i'm sure that can be completed for a mominal fee by CRF if the buyer is interested.

2002 Land Rover Discovery II SE

this is a base model, but still has most of the comforts and level of luxery you'd expect from land rover.

-4.0 v8/auto with only 79k miles
-fulltime 4wd with low range (obviously)
-all weather mats through out
-dual zone climate control, that i might ad is like a jet engine on full speed
-sony x-plod mp3 disc player and a factory multi disc player which isn't operational until and adapter is added.
-12w7 in a large ported box custom built by MaximaDrvr. it is tuneable as well with the port.
-kenwood amp, i cant remember the exact numbers but something like 500-600rms bridged. it pounds your head, put it that way.
-interior is excellent. all the power options work, a/c is ice cold, no stains, seats looks like new, etc. even the keyless entry and factory security system works great.
-mechanically great as well. it's been dealer maintained most of it's life, but recently was switched over to an independent shop that specializes in land rovers. i'm sure they would be happy to provide any service history and a clean bill of health to anyone.
-tires, brakes, etc. are all in excellent shape.
-exterior is the only blemish. it was involved in a very low speed front collision that cracked the bumper cover a little. nothing major, and you don't really notice it unless you're looking for it. a new replacement is less than $1000 and easy to install/clip on. if it was my car, i probably wouldn't even bother.

asking $11,800obo. this is around retail value, but this vehicle is a step above others. it's been very well taken care of by someone who is ocd (i guess it's good for something, right?), and has been free/clear of the "normal" issues that plague so many rovers. could it be possible *gasp* that they built at least one right?? since i'm asking dealer pricing, i'll make sure i gets a dealer level detail and comes with a tank of gas also. will also consider trades for bmw 3/5 series, any other midsize luxery coupe/sedan, or possibly even a nicer roadster of some sort like z3, s2k, boxster, crossfire, etc.

My s10 is for sale. I have a price in mind but I'm just going to entertain offers for now. Find the description below. Pics on request, just message me somewhere to send them...

The good:
-90's model race tuned Corvette L98 V8 in an '85 s10 body lowered 2"
-Radiator replaced two years ago, and a transmission cooler was also added
-Corvette three speed bump shift tranny controlled by B&M bump shifter (still smooth as glass)
-Shortened Ford 9" rear end w/4:11 gears
-Air powered load leveler suspension in rear (no compressor on board)
-New lower ball joints, alignment & front tires (rear tires one year old, good tread yet)
-Cragar wheels w/fatter than stock tires (235-60-14), K&N air filter, & a few other "gems"
*This has been a super reliable daily driver for me for the past two years*

The bad:
-Built loose to handle race RPMs, so it does use some oil - I just keep replacing it and it's been fine
-Not sure of the history of the truck/engine before the previous owner (he was a mechanic)
-Plenty of rust underneath, courtesy of the Connecticut origins of the original s10
-Custom blue metal flake paint, but in rough condition due to neglect & some rust spots/dings & dents
-Engine could probably use freshening depending on what you intend to do with it, but I don't hesitate to drive this thing anywhere!
