if we aren't allowed to set up tent cities in major cities and interrupt traffic flow and disrupt businesses and smuggle drugs and commit rape on minors..... honestly where have our first amendment rights gone???

but come on. the constitution is completely broken at this point. i really don't understand how you people can live knowing that there are people who 'own businesses' and make financial and product development decisions that literally steal the money out of poor folks wallets like ours!! especially when i have a 4 bedroom house and no job to pay it off! it's absurd!

It hasn't always been like that, though, and it doesn't always have to be like that. At one point, banks gave out notes that represented something of material value. Traditionally, it's been gold and silver, but it doesn't have to be. Free market currencies would be used in the absence of fiat currency, and that's what we should let happen. Why concede that the government, which clearly has behaved recklessly, should be allowed to dictate the unit of exchange in our society?

I'm not sure how that is a first amendment issue. While I agree it is a slippery slope to choose what a photographer/journalist can see, they are welcome to report whatever they want including the fact that they are not allowed to see what's going on.

The NYPD want all those people gone quickly, they don't need press in there crowding up things and making it so protestors will feel the need to martyr themselves on camera. That place was turning into a cesspool of criminals, homeless, drug users etc and was degenerating into something that was losing control with crimes, rapes, theft etc.

I'm all for freedom of the press, however, freedom of the press does not inherently mean all access.
