I am so fucking glad the Panthers didn't make some silly trade for Calvin Johnson. That overrated bum is whatever the complete opposite of clutch is.

Yes, the AFC South. The division consisting of the Colts, Texans, Jaguars and Titans. 4 teams that the Panthers have defeated this season...

Quote :
"How much money should Cam Newton have made this week?

His touchdown theatrics have reached the point of being a joke. If Cams going to put on such a vulgar performance he should at least have the courtesy to end it with saying "The Aristocrats" at the end.

Cam Newton could learn a thing or two about class from Drew Stanton whose celebrations are all in good fun and just wholesome entertainment. Like a Pat Boone version of a Little Richard song.Newton said he did that "dance" because he was asked by a 16-year old to "dab on them folks" which I have to admit I'm not sure what it means but it probably involves loitering. You know for someone whose so concerned about dabbing youd think he'd be able to clean up his act.

By the way isnt Cams dad a preacher? Dont these southern ministers forbid there entire congretgation from dancing at all? Seems like the only "Footloose" film Cams ever watched is a x-ray of his ankle folks.

After the game he gave some mealy mouth version of "if you dont like my dance, then dont let me score" which is literaly victim blaming. His actions can be taken as ableist microagressons against slower, smaller, less talented players and if your going to be consistant here his free speech ends where my right to not watch TD dances begins.

This week's pay is: He should refund the fans"

Newsflash: demand is high for tickets to an undefeated NFL team's home games, thus secondary prices are higher.

hahaha that letter is great

Quote :
"Dear Mr. Newton,

Congratulations on your win in Nashville today. Our team played well, but yours played better. Kudos to the Panthers organization.

That game happened to be my nine year old daughter’s first live NFL experience. She was surprised to see so many Panthers’ fans sitting in our section of the stadium; that doesn’t happen much at fourth grade football games. And she was excited we were near the end zone, so we would be close to the “action,” particularly in the second half.

Because of where we sat, we had a close up view of your conduct in the fourth quarter. The chest puffs. The pelvic thrusts. The arrogant struts and the ‘in your face’ taunting of both the Titans’ players and fans. We saw it all.

I refuse to believe you don’t realize you are a role model. You are paid millions of dollars every week to play hard and be a leader. In the off season you’re expected to make appearances, support charities, and inspire young kids to pursue your sport and all sports. With everything the NFL has gone through in recent years, I’m confident they have advised that you are, by virtue of your position and career choice, a role model.

And because you are a role model, your behavior brought out like behavior in the stands. Some of the Panthers fans in our section began taunting the hometown fans. Many Titans fans booed you, a few offering instructive, but not necessarily family friendly, suggestions as to how you might change your behavior.

My daughter sensed the change immediately – and started asking questions. Won’t he get in trouble for doing that? Is he trying to make people mad? Do you think he knows he looks like a spoiled brat?

I didn’t have great answers for her, and honestly, in an effort to minimize your negative impact and what was otherwise a really fun day, I redirected her attention to the cheerleaders and mascot.

I could tell she was still thinking about it as we boarded a shuttle back to our car. “I guess he doesn’t have kids or a Mom at home watching the game,” she added.

I don’t know about your family life Mr. Newton, but I think I’m safe in saying thousands of kids watch you every week. You have amazing talent and an incredible platform to be a role model for them. Unfortunately, what you modeled for them today was egotism, arrogance and poor sportsmanship.

Is that what your coaches and mentors modeled for you, Mr. Newton?"

Unfortunately, this coincided with the child’s father puffing his chest while doing pelvic thrusts."

So basically when your favorite team's players dance and celebrate is okay....but when Cam Newton does it, he is the worst example in the NFL.

I mean he did go over the top this particular time and should have been flagged for it, but other than that whats the problem. I guess if the refs had flagged him all the parents could point to that and say see they got penalized for it on the meaningless kickoff clearly you shouldn't do that.

The reason this is an issue is because it's not just touchdowns Cam celebrates. Every first down he's ever gotten has been celebrated in ridiculous fashion. People get sick of that shit. Not to mention his endzone celebration lasted one minute and included taunting (brought on by the defender getting in Cam's face). If I was the linebacker, I would have grabbed him by the facemask and not let go.

He does it partly for that purpose obviously he is trolling the other team. This gets the less intellectually robust members of the defense in a tizzy, making them lose concentration/ make mistakes.

I love it. Please keep getting upset envious opposing fans, and more importantly, keeping getting trolled opposing defenses.

i mean, he does it a lot. he does not do it every single time. regardless, why does it fucking matter? he's playing a game. he's having fun playing the game. other players are having fun playing the game. they can dance and point and all that other shit because it's a fucking football game. don't get all indignant about players openly enjoying themselves during a sporting event.
