I don't know that there is any right thing to say, other than to let them know that they have your support and that you will help them out in any way you can. There are so many small things that they can probably use your assistance with during this time. And if they don't need help, then at least you can provide a shoulder to cry on.

Rhonda is still here in the States. Her birthday was last Tuesday, she was in a wedding yesterday, and she's in a wedding next weekend. She didn't tell me what happened, said we'd talk later. But that's the only thing that makes sense to me. April's in-laws are here in Raleigh so they'll likely be able to take the kids once April gets here.
