I really wish I could have a Sunday Funday...but I still have to finish moving and I have to work at Bert's this afternoon. Working until 10 PM sucks. Hopefully we will close early tonight. Please let it be so slow we have to close!

Never will I EVER buy cheap nail polish again. I always buy OPI, but was willing to try a funky new color in a less expensive brand........BAD CHOICE.

It was a shiny purple polish with a subtle pink and blue glitter/shimmer in it......and when you put it on, it doesn't go on smoothly or shiny. It dried flat and dull with NO shine whatsoever. Ughhhhh.

Dingdong. You follow with clear over those kinds for additional depth. They dry flat so that the clear will adhere better.

I been married once. Lived with three others, not including the siblings and mom I grew up with. I'd have to be dead to have missed some of these things.

That and I used to mix car paint, which is very similar.

No, trust me. There was no adding clear coat for more depth to THIS brand of nail polish. I usually do two coats of OPI (sometimes only 1) and then apply a clear coat. This one (can't even remember the brand) was horrid!

you might strap it to the roof of your car and drive on the highway for awhile

driving on the highway airs out a car, so conceivably it could air out a mattress, too

I was given an unused guest bedroom mattress by a relative who smoked in the guest bedroom.

I just sealed it up in a plastic cover and put a feather bed on top. I've heard people complain that sealed mattresses are hot and air can't get up through them, but the feather bed must keep the air moving because my bed's totally comfy.

Ok, I tried Febreeze on the mattress to get the cigarette smoke smell out. I woke up this morning smelling the cigarette.

Any other ideas on how to get cigarette smells out of a mattress?

I did the extra strength febreeze. And no, it didn't work. Do you have any other ideas on the best way to get the smell out?

I just saw what bridget posted. That's the same suggestion my parents gave me. I'll hit up walmart on the way back to my house and get the cover.

I was given this mattress by someone who had it in their guest bedroom and smoked in the house. I mean I'm a smoker, but I still don't like to go to sleep facedown in an ashtray.

It would be nice if we could have a forecast that didn't include a 60% chance of rain all day. I would love to just set the mattress outside for a few hours in the sun and let it air out some. I'm sure that would help it a little.

sawahash, steam cleaning will help and so will a good day in the sun. But it's tough to get it all out. There are firms that specialize in rehabbing items damaged by smoke--they will seal up the mattress and blast it with ozone. (You can have this done to your car, too.)

How can you get that smell out of a car?? My friend just bought a Montero Sport and it smells like ass/garbage/smoke all at the same time. What can we do??

^^Take it to a full service car wash. They will seal it up and pump ozone through the vents and the whole car for like an hour. It works.

(I had it done for smoke and leaking garbage that was left in the back during the summer.)
