I just moved the trash can, and holy fucking shit the fire ants. They did not have an entire city three days ago. Seriously, there was an above-ground grid system of roads. I think they might be evolving.

Nearly two weeks, some sunshine, fresh garden mint, and the grated rind of a fresh lemon later, my car no longer smells like pickles. I am happy.

Which is strange, because there were never actually any pickles in my car, just an empty bucket, and only for a few hours.

My hands also smell like lemon. I'm quite okay with that. Whenever I peel the mint later today, they'll probably smell like mint.

I used this adaptation http://onehotstove.blogspot.com/2009/08/julias-provencal-tomato-quiche.html but I used basil instead of parsley. It's more of a tart or pie than a quiche.

Really yummy though! I have since had a slice and I am now refraining on eating the whole thing
