I have gotten out of the habit of looking at my calendar all the time, so it slipped my mind that I have a food delivery coming on Thursday. I am excited to try it but probably shouldn't have bought so much food yesterday.

^^^well i have really been cutting back on things like starches and breads. i enjoy red meat, but during the week i tend to eat more chicken, pork, or tuna. i like veggies. beans, asparagus, leafy greens, onions, cucumbers.

a lot of times i'll grill out chicken breasts early in the week and then use the rest over the next day or two for large grilled chicken salads and things like that. or cut up cucumber, onion, and tomato and make summer salad to have on the side for a few days.

this guy I met through my local running group is really starting to weird me out. He's constantly inviting me to board game nights at a local restaurant and when I ask people if they are going I'm told it was cancelled and that I shouldn't go because he's just trying to get me alone.

For Chinese cooking, here are some staples I think people should def. keep around-
Cornstarch – it’s a thickening agent used a lot in stir fry you get from restaurants
Soy Sauce- duh
Oyster sauce- has a little bit of oyster extract in it but you really can’t taste it. Thicker than soysauce, definitely a little goes a long way
Sesame oil
Ginger
Vinegar ( I don’t know how to describe this, but it cuts the depth)
5 spice powder
Chili oil- you can make your own, it’s better and hotter. Grind up dried whole chili. Set this aside in a heat resistant container. Heat up vegetable oil, and pour it directly on the ground chili. Don’t use ground chili flakes you get at supermarkets, they have no flavor.

For southeat asia-
Lemon grass
Ginger
Soy sauce
Curry powder
Turmeric powder
Fish sauce
vinegar
Oyster sauce
Chili paste in soy bean oil – I use this in almost all of my stir frys and my pad thai. It’s got a sweet flavor to it, but it’s not that hot
