Smallville

Green Arrow, played by Justin Hartley, as depicted in Smallville.

In the pilot of the television series Smallville, a headline is visible on a newspaper stating "QUEEN INDUSTRIES CEO MISSING," an obvious reference to Green Arrow. Lionel Luthor is shown reading this paper in a helicopter with his son Lex Luthor during the sequence, just before Smallville's 1989 meteor shower.

Green Arrow made his first appearance as Oliver Queen near the end of the episode Sneeze of the sixth season (which premiered October 5, 2006). In it, Oliver was revealed to be the one responsible for kidnapping Lex in order to uncover the secrets regarding his former schoolmate's seemingly superhuman abilities which Lex exhibited while he was possessed (unbeknownst to Oliver) by the kryptonian Zod. His story arc will last "at least seven episodes" says Alfred Gough, co-creator of Smallville.[citation needed] In the episode entitled Justice, Oliver will begin to form the Justice League which will be composed of hero's who previously appeared on Smallville including: Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash. It is assumed that Oliver will try to persuade Clark to join the League as well (with our hero declining the invitation). "Ollie," as he will be known to his friends, is older than Clark, in his mid to late twenties, but he becomes a trusted ally and friend of Clark by his last appearance. In addition, as mentioned previously, he is a former boarding school classmate/rival of Lex Luthor, and he is rumored to be a potential love interest to Lois Lane. He will be played by Justin Hartley, who was cast as Aquaman in the TV series Aquaman.

^ I think Bruce is around the same age as Lex and Green Arrow, since he went to school with them. Bruce also was more of a friend to Lex back then too.

They were going to bring Bruce on last season, but due to Batman Begins they thought it was a bad idea.

I think they need to bring Bruce on also, that would be great episode. I am looking fwd to a good scene where Lex, Oliver, and Clark all in one room and sarcasm dialogue going back and forth.

^Last year when they were thinking about bringin in Bruce they stated it, and I looked it up and a few different comic book stories (or theories) gave the background story...

I am not going to say that Bruce and Lex being classmates was always or was the original story but it is an adaptation they have taken liberty with. The same way I am assuming they put Green Arrow (Oliver Q.) with Lex.

My thoughts exactly, I am so ready for her to die, b/c she gets her ass into hospital ever episode it seems...always her heard, face, or something and yet no marks, stitches, or badges of injury. I think I really want her to die unless they can transition the story from being so wrapped up in her b/c I do enjoy the lex/lana thing going on....though I still think she might be playin some people for the fool.

The more Ollie Queen is on the show, the more I like him. Def adds to the show.

I like how the show is keeping a steady pace on the plot of the show this season. It develops moe intriguing with each episode.

But wassup on Supe's pussy gettin beat by all future friends...Louis got it with Aqua Man, gettin it from Green Arrow now....I don't think I like the Louis gets with every super hero angle...

i agree about queen, he's actually adding to the show. and i'm glad that they aren't just doing random freak of the week episodes, but ones that actually have some relevance to the characters (although tree lady was a little weak)

Tree lady was pretty lame...but they did well with this episode. I loved the flashback to the school daze - showing Ollie as a Real Ass...

I am looking fwd to seeing what all the Zoners can do...

Any powers left that Supes has not developed yet???

LOL, I was thinking that maybe one of craters that left Phantom zone could be Doomsday...but way to early in Supes Life for that scenario....but it was a fun thought.

Turns out Jor-El created the phantom zone as a kind of prison for the worst criminals in the known galaxies. There was a fail safe that could be activated inside the phantom zone should any of Jor-El's family be trapped there. Clark was able to open it with the help of another Kryptonian, but others in the phantom zone learned he was going to open it and they were so close to the gate when it opened that Clark and about 7 others in the phantom zone were transferred to Earth.

^ & ^^ I am thinking they said the Zone was an intergalctic prison...and so the theory that it sends them where they were banished from makes some sense, but at same time all the "Zoners" who escaped are not from earth.

Maybe it simply transports the person who activates the fail safe to the place they "think", or "call" home, thus Clark to Earth...and all those that go with that person go to same place...

Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best....and I did not really feel like going into a long analysis of what could have been

I disagree, I think he is doing a wonderful job at his character. I actually enjoy his acting and character on the show. Who sucked was that 20 year old HS head football coach who was breaking the law and fucking lana...now he sucked at acting. By the way, Lana acting or performance is getting worse.
