This has got to be wrong!!! $3500 for a MINT FJ40. Only 30 some odd thousand miles and looks brand new???????

http://fortlauderdale.craigslist.org/car/682996878.html

If someone wants to buy it, I will drive it up to Raleigh for them. That's one hellacious deal on that truck.

If it's some old blue hair that doesn't know what it's worth it could be for real. Ad looks way too legit compared to other scammers.

Flagged and GONE. hahaaaa Must not have been a ignorant old blue hair after all.

There's tons of good deals down here from old people who don't know what they have. A friend just got an awesome verrrry low mileage '87 T-type Regal for a $1000. Gotta love old people.

Focus sold! I have a 98 Grand Am 5 speed for $2300! Also have about ten other vehicles to choose from ranging from $2500 to $25,000. No matter if you are paying with cash, or getting a loan from your bank, I can sell you a good car for less and warranties are available on most cars depending on mileage.

03 Chevy Astro LT AWD EXT van with 3rd row seating, CD, rear AC, and only 80k.

98 Grand Am GT, 4cyl, 5 speed, 10 disc changer and 2 doors. $pecial of the week!

01 Buick Regal LS, 135k, CD, VERY clean.

02 Deville DTS. Couldnt figure out why in the world I havent sold this one yet, then I realized the owner likes it so much he is always out driving it around. 87k and perfect diamond white (pearl) paint. Chrome wheels with michelins.

87 Fleetwood Brougham, another one owner survivor, 80k, needs nothing but a radio. I am having a hard time talking myself out of this one, it is that nice.

BTTT for jeep, this thing needs to go. it's wasting space for other things.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.2L

the good:

-3.5" RE lift with pro comp shocks
-adjustable lower control arms with rebuildable joints
-upgraded tie rod/drag link/trackbar to heavier duty stuff
-two brand new hub assemblies up front
-arb bullbar with provisions for a winch
-custom square tube rear bumper with D rings
-custom 2x2 sliders with outriggers. work very well pivoting off rocks, keeping thing out of the door, and of course the rockers.
-front fenders trimmed to clear bigger tires
-31x10.50 bfg at's on 15x8 black rockcrawlers. two are in good shape, two will need replacing soon.
-body is straight and solid. normal wear/tear for a 11 year old vehicle.
-engine runs great with no issues. 50 series flowmaster sounds good. not so loud it's annoying, but you know it's there.
-body is really straight
-optima red top battery
-aftermarket cd player, can't remember brand off name. kenwood or pioneer i think. works well with the factory infinity amplifier and speakers.
-has a sunroof that works great. as do all the doors, windows, etc.
-transmission is flawless, shifts great.
-has new water pump, belt, and hoses
-overhead computer for temp, mileage, etc. and the lower information center for engine warnings, low fluid warnings, service intervals, etc. seems to work fine.
-140k miles overall
-mopar towing package which includes class IV reciever, larger alternator, and better cooling.
-it's completely loaded. a true luxury suv at the time. power everything works, leather, woodgrain, and even fancy seat warmers OOOH!

the bad:

-very small 1-2" tear in a seam on the drivers seat. all the other leather, door panels, etc. are great.
-the carpet in the cargo area shows some wear. it is covered up by a heavy duty all weather rubber mat though. the other carpet looks nice. there is also a weatherguard type mat in the front driver side.
-has rocklights mounted on the driver slider and inside the passenger front fender, but they need to be wired.
-its got some rock rash on the underside on the transmission crossmember, sliders, bumpers, etc. but what's the problem? that's what they're there for. if you want a street queen, 5 minutes with a black can of spraypaint will have you straight.
-strange humming/light vibration noise under acceleration coming from the front. i'm thinking it's just a worn out joint in the front driveshaft, but i'm not positive. i've driven it close to 100 miles now with no change. if you're coasting or the driveshaft is out, it won't do it. that's what leads me to believe it's a joint in the shaft. could be something in the front axle doing it, but spins all the time, even when the shaft is out. anyway, my point is it's very unlikely to be something major and doesn't keep it from being driven as is at all.
-the main thing is it needs to be back on the road is a new radiator. the one in it cracked this weekend. i was very careful that it didn't overheat though, never saw anything over 215 degrees. i'll get the radiator installed for a buyer, or take some off the price and you install.
-a/c is shady. it'll blow cold for a while, then go kind of ambient, blow cold again, go ambient. i'm thinking it just needs the pressure checked on the high side and a quick refill. it's obviously holding what little bit is in there. it's also not so low that the compressor isn't staying off so i don't suspect any leaks or the need for a full recovery/recharge. you might do a can of the dyed freon just to be sure though.

price: $5000obo if i have the new radiator installed. $4800obo if you take it as is. i can probably also throw in whatever parts i have around for it like stock wheels, spare axleshafts, etc. i will consider full/partial trades of other vehicles as well.

i'll deliver for free within the raleigh area, further for the cost of fuel.

should make someone a nice truck. all the comfort you could want inside, not so built you can't take trips in peace, yet has all the right parts to get you through a lot of trails. it'd be a formidable off roader with just tires and maybe one locker.

[image]http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z214/OldFarmMotorsports/Jeep/JEEP001.jpg]/image]

oh, and i've got a nice, clean idea to fab up some protection from the rear bumper corners to the area under the rear lights and the rear quarter panel area. it'll blend/cover in that area nicely and provide protection against whatever. i'm sure that can be completed for a mominal fee by CRF if the buyer is interested.

Asking $21,900. Which is $4000 less than KBB MSRP, if that matters.

The picture dosent do it justice at all. Still has the new car smell inside too, interior is perfect.

yeah, no shit. and this isn't just for slowblack96. it goes for all. let's not shit up this thread too since everybody uses it including non-garage regulars who aren't accustomed to the normal bullshit that occurs everyday in the garage. it adds negativity to this thread and might discourage others from taking an ad seriously and cause a loss of a sale. i had to pull a favor in order to even allow this thread since the old and new owner wants ALL classifieds to be limited to the classifieds section.

a friend's dad:

Quote :
"
Name: Steven
Vehicle Location: Yadkinville NC
How to get in touch with the seller (email, phone, PM, all / none of the above)
phone number 336.961.2750
Car: 1996 Ford F250 Lariat with 351 ci engine and utility bed
Price: $2200
Year: 1996
Mileage: 243,000
Title: clear

this is my dad's old work truck. he bought it new in 96. it's a 3/4 ton truck with the 351 engine, automatic transmission with electronic overdrive. it's got a Redding utility bed on it. (the bed alone was over $5500 new, and should be worth close to the asking price of the truck.)

the good:

Power windows
Tilt wheel
Cruise Control
AM/FM Cassette
Automatic
Alloy wheels
40-50% tread
Utility bed (Redding?)
Pipe/ladder rack
2" Receiver hitch
Cold AC/ Hot Heat

the engine runs really good. as well as the rest of the truck. Dad kept the maintenance up on the truck. short list of stuff replaced over the years (off the top of my head), ball joints, radiator and alternator (last summer when i was home), tranny filter/flushes, brakes, shocks, etc.

the bad:

dent in the passenger side fender. (hit a fence post backing up on snow/ice 3 weeks after getting the truck. 028_nugget.gif)
the transmission sometimes jerks when changing gears. the transmission has been finicky for the last year but it just won't die.
suspension squeaks (i think it's the leaf springs)

anyways, it's been a good work truck. but it was time to move on to something new. and other than the gas bill i wouldn't be scared to drive the truck to california.

frankie

1985 Honda Odyssey 350
Its in great shape, always kept under shelter. Its got a small chunk out of the righthand front fender, but otherwise fine. Low hours, 2 stroke engine, has both pull- and electric-start; both work fine.
Rather fast.

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/762211104.html

Its a close fit in the bed of my dad's 2003 (?) Silverado, but it goes in.

I could probably be persuaded to sell my trailer. Actually, I could definitely be persuaded, though if I don't sell it until the spring when I get back from Iraq and buy a house, that's fine, too.

12x6' flat bed, removeable sides, has ramps. tandem axle. spare tire. big drum brakes on all 4 wheels. wood deck. rated to 8000 lbs...I think the trailer weighs about a grand, give or take.

potential trade/partial trade for motorcycle, stand-up jet ski, GP1200, or maybe a car or truck???

yo, hook a brotha up. i want this. for taking my vette to places. my big trailer is just too much to mess with for that, plus it's a litte tall. can you give me a deck height? ramp length? thanks. or, you could just store it at my place an allow me weekly use of it as payment...

i'm ready for my ram too!

oh, i'm sure it's over 1k lbs. probably more like 1500 or so, without seeing the frame.

yeah, the previous owner told me it weighs 1200, but unless i'm dreaming again, the title says something like 850. No way it weighs 850...1200 might be accurate.

I'll measure it all out tomorrow, although it's loaded at the moment so some of the heights might be slightly off. I'm bringing it up to Fuquay tomorrow (or maybe Saturday, but almost certainly tomorrow) anyway...I was thinking about just leaving it loaded until I get back from Iraq, but if you or anyone else wants it, I'll just pull all the stuff off of it. It won't take long, and I have plenty of space to put it all.

it's roughly knee-high at the deck, i'd guess...I suspect the ramps might be be too short (and thus too steep) to load a 'vette, though...although you could always lengthen them or build longer ones, if need be.

I'd love to sell you the Ram right now, because while it's helluva tow rig (for the price, anyway), it sucks major root as my only form of transportation. The only problem is that I need something to drive for the next 7 weeks until I leave for Iraq, and I don't really want to buy anything and have to pay tax on the transaction when I'm likely to buy something at least fairly kickass when I get back in the spring, anyway (C6???)

if the width I just looked up for a C5 is correct, and his tires and offset are stock (which I doubt), it looks like there would be a little under an inch of rubber over the edge of the deck on each side.

ok, just took some measurements on the trailer:

4' ramps

deck height, as it sits now halfway unloaded, is 17". the back end is tilted down slightly, but you could tilt it down even more by raising the tongue jack. maybe get the rear deck height another inch or maybe 2 lower if need be.

it's also wider than I thought. 79", by my tape.

length is 12', or maybe an inch or two more if you really push it all the way to the limit.

^^^yeah, as mentioned it would be really tight but that's the point. i want something just barely big enough and as light as possible. otherwise, i might as well just use the mobile football field.

^i had a feeling it might be, 6.5' is a standard width for a lot of trailers.
