Fine, if you HAVE to have it spelled out for you:
Everyone, including McCain and Bush and every other president we've had, I'd say, believes to some degree that we should redistribute some wealth. If not, they would have tried to completely end entitlement programs, social security, etc. None of them have... Not even Reagan.
So, in other words, this is a total straw man. Obama thinks this, just like his predecessors and most of congress and most of the U.S.10/16/2008 10:56:15 PM |

You know, it seems everyone against Obama has their feelings rooted in paranoia.10/16/2008 11:20:09 PM |

Seriously, people question Obama as if he were the 9/11 conspiracy. 10/16/2008 11:33:50 PM |

Question what about his past? Just like McCain, there's plenty of info on how he got to where he is today, just search on Google. 10/17/2008 12:34:46 AM |

i'm not talking about what you can find online if you search on google, i'm talking about what gets broadcasted into american homes every day
you can't honestly act like the media has been equally critical and investigative into each of the candidates pasts, can you??] 10/17/2008 12:35:39 AM |

^ are you kidding me?
You have to look past your short term memory and just think back to the wright issue, the clinging-to-guns thing, Michelle's "i just now love America", and now the Joe-plumber thing. There are some others, but I don't really watch TV news so I can't think of them now.
Even Ayers has gotten LOTS of coverrage all around the media, but they realize there's nothing there to report. He served on a board with someone, that plenty of other people also worked with.
On top of that, Obama really hasn't made as many missteps as McCain. Obama's campaign so far, for the most part, has been pretty finely tuned, they've handled issues well, had a clear message, and Obama himself has shown himself to have a very high level of composure that really makes McCain look very bitter and decrepit. 10/17/2008 12:42:37 AM |

thats my overall point, and not just with ayers...everything gets dismissed as "there's nothing there to report"...theres no scrutiny...any criticism is immediately dismissed as being either unimportant, untrue, racist, intolerant, etc...how can you not see this???]10/17/2008 12:48:37 AM |

How can I not see reality?
You realize even Fox News can't really find anything substantial from the Ayers thing. You want Obama to be a terrorist so badly, you are starting to fabricate a new reality in your mind. That is pretty messed up on multiple levels, especially for someone who continuously tries to assert they're above the fray.10/17/2008 12:52:39 AM |

Your post is empty...I said I'm not just talking about Ayers, theres no need to bring up Fox News...I'm asking why any Obama supporters believe he can do no wrong...why in the hell would you put so much blind faith in a politician who the media is afraid/(not) paid to criticize? makes no sense at all 10/17/2008 12:54:32 AM |

^I'm convinced you are unable to grasp anything you read without it being repeated or rephrased several times. And by then it is still no guarantee.

It's essentially his campaign staff's job to believe this though.10/17/2008 12:58:21 AM |

a ton of them...don't you read TWW, watch the news, read websites, etc?10/17/2008 1:00:43 AM |

^ I already said I don't watch the news, but I do read websites and TWW, and I don't notice this behavior. McCain supporters support McCain, Obama supporters support Obama.
And it's pretty clear at least by the McCain rallies, there's a lot of highly uninformed nutjobs on his side, which is quite a bit worse than someone who just loves their candidate on an emotional level. 10/17/2008 1:02:33 AM |
