Well...that puts the proverbial nail in our coffin. We're done, the biggest strength of our team losing games for us to bad teams

Wow fuck you Chipper Jones. Make a fucking play when it counts. Hope you take the blame for this in the locker room. Also Kimbrel, you suck right now - two straight games allowing HRs.

Cannot believe how shitty this team is under pressure. Thanks for nothing dirty Fillies.

^ Well if Fredi had any nuts and stopped running his old ass out there back in August like everyone was asking, then we'd probably have 1-2 less losses. So yes I blame Lowe as well. I think I'll blame TOB and Herb as well. Fuck everyone. I hate being a fan of the teams I am a fan of

We'll see if this team has any heart today. They should come out fired up and beat the shit out of the Marlins. Most likely we'll lose 4-1 though.

Even if we make the playoffs, which I don't think we will, things won't go much better than they did last year against the Giants

Yep if we make it, we'll still be using Hudson and two other starters that should not be starting in the playoffs (unless Hanson/JJ can somehow make it back). I can just imagine Derek Lowe giving up 5 bombs in 2 innings against the Brewers.

I guess a Sept swoon is what happens when you lose your #1 and #2 starters and your overused setup and closer get tired of pitching 5 times per week.

^^ Even inspite of the lack of clutch hitting, the Braves would not be in this position if Hanson or JJ was still healthy.

JJ was due for a statistical correction, injury or not. I doubt he'll ever again pitch as well as he did the first three months of the season. Hanson could have been huge right now. When he's healthy and not just sweating like fuck and throwing 110 pitches in four innings, he's a legit #2 and the rotation's best strikeout pitcher. Braves really, really need him healthy quick.

[Edited on September 20, 2011 at 6:44 PM. Reason : Beachy has the highest K/9. Would not have guessed that.]

Delgado pitched like a veteran last night. I guess he is our #2 starter now since Beachy has been sucking, Lowe is LOL, and I'm not really sure what Fredi is doing with Minor and Teheran.

Cannot believe they are going to let Lowe go again tonight. This game is too important to let his ass go out there and not even give the Braves a chance. 1.5 game lead after tonight. Come on Mets, do us a solid.

Also gg to the Mets bullpen, up 6-5 in the 7th, 2 outs, none on, 6 runs score. Sounds like a meme.

Lowe should be pulled and cut at the first baserunner he allows tonight

^^ Lowe should be sent to the pen and left to rot until the end of the season. I'd rather see us pitching guys on short rest than watch his sweaty ass go and allowed more baserunners than outs.

The Braves are not going to risk any of the young arms like Minor, Vizcaino, Teheran on short rest, but man Lowe just pisses me off. It's like he does not give a shit if he sucks and hurts the team.

Watch him pitch a gem tonight. One can dream right?

fixed it for you.

Lowe makes $15 million a year, that computes to $1.67 million/win this year. Lowe sucks, he just needs to go back to the bar and drink another one.

Yeah and in the year of the pitcher, that asshole has what 15 losses and nearly a 5 ERA. Ironic that he will face Javier Vazquez tonight considering the Braves tried to pawn off Lowe so they could afford to keep Vazquez a couple years back.

Offense is making Javy Vazquez look like Nolan Ryan

And the Cardinals are leading the Mets early

Oh well 1.5 game lead after tonight. Braves will need Cards to start losing if they want to play in October. I wonder if we'll even be in the WC lead by Sunday.

You knew Vazquez was going to come out and pitch strong. He is probably still upset that the Braves had to trade him following the best season of his career. Thanks Derek Lowe.

at least the cardinals are losing right now, but holy shit we have to be the worst fucking team with runners in scoring position. we don't deserve to play in october at this point. it baffles me how the braves have fallen this far this fast. and why is lowe still pitching!?!?

Braves are going to lose two of three in DC, just like always. Hudson will be the only thing stopping a sweep. Cardinals' remaining schedule could not be softer: Mets, Cubs, @ Astros. Only hope for the Braves is that the Phils get their rotation set for the first round by sitting at least two of the big three. Of course, that probably means a no-hitter from fucking Vance Worley.

[Edited on September 21, 2011 at 9:11 PM. Reason : Cardinals aren't playing the Braves again, so I guess it could be softer.]

^^Right on cue man. Here comes Linebrink At least Lowe did not lose this game for the Braves.

What happened to Chipper, why did he not start.

Phillies will still probably run Oswalt, Worley, and somebody that will throw 7 innings of 3 hit ball against the braves.

The Braves should not be in a situation where the have to root for the Mets to help them make the playoffs. Amazing how a team in a tight pennant race playing against a team 20 games under .500 manages 2 fucking hits against the 3rd or 4th starter.

Thank God the Braves are off tomorrow. I don't really feel like watching my two favorite teams lose important games on the same day.

LOL Mets-Cards game. Last night, Mets up one, bottom of the 7th, 2 outs, no one on, Pujols singles, starts 6 run rally.

Tonight, Mets up one, bottom of the 7th, 2 outs, no one on, Pujols singles, starts another rally? God I hope not. Fuck Berkman just got a hit too.

WHAT THE FUCK! Braves luck is beyond shitty. Fuck you Mets bullpen.

yes, it is true the braves are killing themselves right now. However, jurrjens and hanson (our top two starters) have both been out for almost two months, so your argument has no merit...
