I spent Friday night, Saturday, Sunday, and yesterday at home. Longest stretch I've been at my house since May. The experience on this work assignment has been great, the money has been even better, but I'm definitely ready to get back to my wife and dog and my own house.

Dream grimx strikes again! We were dating and it was my birthday and he decided to get all our friends and head to the beach. And he forgot me. They spent all day there so I spent my birthday alone. Later, Claudia from The Babysitters Club asked me to take her to the Ninja Turtle statue in the ocean, but as we were paddling out there was a tidal wave or something. I lost Claudia, but saw these people touching buttons on the back of their necks that made them teleport out of the water. One of them (my IRL husband) grabbed me and teleported me out. When we were safe he asked me to become one of them.

So my wife is seriously considering getting her MBA now after her mentor recommended it based on the path she is on. On one hand, I think MBAs are overrated. On the other hand, since she doesn't have a technical degree, she might hit a glass ceiling on her career path without the MBA and I don't want anything to stop the good momentum she has.

I still think most companies would be better off having employees work a stint in Acct. Payable and Acct. Receivable + assisting in the annual report at their own company vs paying for an MBA if they want someone to learn 'how the company makes money.' Does anyone else feel like most MBAs are just a check-box for 90% of people that get them / positions that "require" them vs actually providing value equal to their cost and time?

The other thing is that she wants me to get mine with her at the same time to make it easier on both of us. I totally understand her reasoning and objectively it is a good idea, but I was really hoping I was done with "formal" school/tests after my engineering degree + my PE Exam >.<

Assuming you get an A or B, they will pay a set amount that probably covers ~2 classes a year if I had to guess (I don't know exactly how much to expect to pay per class + books).
