We just finished eating. We watched a cooking show where they made eggs Benedict last week and Aaron's been wanting it ever since. So I decided today was the day. My hollandaise wasn't the best, but I was also out of lemons so meh.

I've only ever made sauce with the packets, not from scratch. That's how my parents always made it so I still find it to be quite delicious. It's a holiday tradition so I don't have it often, but I did have it for brunch twice on our trip They were both OK, as far as the sauce goes. I never make poached eggs at home, because I always break them, so that was a nice treat.

I don't think my parents even know what hollandaise is. We never ate it growing up. The first Benedict I had was in Asheville about 3 years ago. I made a roasted serrano hollandaise shortly after that, which was pretty baller. So now the regular kind is a little boring to me

TOTALLY AGREE! Justin and I went on a date last night so Ryan stayed at my parents. This morning after making coffee I looked out on our patio and said to myself, "I should drink this out there." Justin came out 15 minutes later and said, "I thought to myself 'I'm gonna drink my coffee outside.' and looked out to see you already here."

My cell phone charger worked fine yesterday, but then I got it caught on the door knob as I was leaving out of a room, and now it won't work today. However, the light comes on, but it won't charge. Charging a phone through my computer is sooooo SLOW.
