TIL that the reason there was no "Disney Animated Feature" in 1993 was that they planned to give that designation to The Nightmare Before Christmas, but possibly fearing another flop like The Black Cauldron (1985) because of its dark content, they made it a Touchstone picture and moved The Lion King from late 1994 to summer 1994.

(I had earlier learned that the trend of releasing one of them per year during my childhood was a fluke, and in the older days it tended to be one per three years.)

i took my dog to a vet this weekend for maybe 10 hours of boarding...I was actually pretty upset that they had to check him for fleas, don't know why because its common practice, but seriously, my dog is better taken care of than 95% of people (including me)
