This piece on Hot Spring Colors on the Today Show is featuring tangerine. I'm not loving the tangerine and if I ever had a reason to be trendy, tangerine would look awful on me. 3/12/2012 9:40:50 AM |

Tangerine is my favorite color. There was an awesome dress at Banana Republic that I came so close to buying. Hit just above the knee, long sleeves, solid tangerine. But I thought it might be a hair too short for work at a law firm with that much color. Loved it though. 3/12/2012 9:59:48 AM |

even with the 40+ day "cycle" I have been on for the past 5-6 months, I'm about a week late on my period. aside from immaculate conception, there is nearly no way I could be pregnant, but I'm still upset about it. uugh. 3/13/2012 2:48:20 PM |

^^I was 2 weeks late, and just came to terms that I was having an anovulatory cycle and would not have a period that month (even got the blood test to confirm I wasn't pregnant). Period came yesterday, and it came with a vengeance. 3/13/2012 2:54:34 PM |

every time I'm late, even if I haven't had sex in 6 mos, I will find a way to convince myself I'm pregnant. like clockwork, the day after I take a pregnancy test (negative, of course), I get my period. so I might stop on the way home and get one just to go ahead and encourage my timid little uterine lining to come out and play.

I never had a pregnancy scare before I went off the pills. Now, we are actually trying to get pregnant, and being off the pill = no regular periods = pregnancy scares. 3/13/2012 3:54:00 PM |

question about that kind of bc that makes you not have periods anymore for those who take it - do you still get PMS?

I've never really had a pregnancy scare. I took a test once about 10 years ago because I had gone like 45 days without a period, but I didn't actually think I was pregnant and the only reason I took a test is because my friend had one lying around.
I have sex pretty infrequently though so I guess if I'd been banging every month for the past decade I might've had more of a problem. 3/13/2012 10:58:45 PM |

I have and IUD (Mirena).
BEST DECISION EVER. It cost me one copay ($25) to get, and lasts for 5 years. I have had one period since I got it put in more than two years ago. I kinda sorta get PMS, but not the way it was before. Every once in a while I will get a little crampy or emotional, but it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. So happy with it. I encourage everyone I know to look into IUDs. Love.
I have tried to persuade some friends who are looking to start trying in, say, a year, and they aren't really interested for that reason. But if I were up for reinsertion and wanted kids in a year I'd still definitely go for it.

I used to have super awful cramps. And I kept having to switch types of pills because they would help for a little bit and then I'd start having issues again. But I truly have no complaints with the IUD. And not having a period is so absolutely awesome I can't even express. 3/13/2012 11:18:09 PM |

It seems like at least 50% of the chicks I know have some kind of horrid period problems.
I'm glad I'm not in that. I normally have long cycles with short and light periods. Usually I can't use a super tampon except for sometimes on the first day. My only complaint is the cramps but a little ibuprofen can fix that right up. 3/13/2012 11:21:41 PM |
DivaBaby19 Davidbaby19 45208 Posts user info edit post |
lol to even make it to work I have to put myself into a tylenol & ibuprofen fog...the max dose possible
and it lasts for about 2.5 days...the week before I have extreme fatigue where I about cry when I get home from work because I literally can't move anymore
and I have become friends with ULTRA tamps 3/13/2012 11:23:21 PM |

I am not going to lie. It totally sucks having it put in. But not for long, at all. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, so it royally sucked when they measured my uterus, was kind of painful when they put it in, and a little (like, very little) uncomfortable the rest of the evening. But by the next day I was totally back to normal with zero pain. Would do again x100. 3/13/2012 11:23:39 PM |

In my experience lately, the nausea & vomiting from pregnancy doesn't feel the same as nausea/vomiting from food, nerves, or anything else. Idk how to be more specific than that, but it's just not the same type. Maybe that's comforting, maybe it's not...lol
Also, I've done the depoprovera shot before. Once the periods went away there wasn't any pms or anything like that.
