I'll take a mental health month if I feel like it. We weren't meant to live like this. I mean, if I'm shrugging off actual physical labor or a meaningful intellectual endeavor, then that's a problem.

But the hard part of most jobs is enduring bureaucratic bullshit and interacting with people whom you would never otherwise associate. Yes, there's generally a task at hand that's good and important...but I don't think a willingness to tolerate an office for ten hours a day is what our ancestors had in mind when they established notions of "work ethic."

So you should never feel guilty for avoiding what we now call work.

I missed a day of school in elementary and the next day I asked what happened and was told they learned what happened when you put a bowl on sugar in the microwave. So when I got home I promptly put a huge bowl of sugar on high for 5 minutes and then watched it get hard...
