Ugh, I am battling that right now. I wake up at 3 every day. I can't get back to sleep until ~7, which sucks, because I can't really go back to sleep then. But I definitely fare better when I embrace it instead of trying to fight my weird sleep cycles. 12/3/2013 11:55:30 AM |

My boss is having a really nice cocktail party on Thursday for the holidays. Many higher ups from my company will be there (like the CEO, CFO, etc.). What should I bring as a gift?

A nice bottle of wine? Fancy cheese platter that comes with a board and knife? Fancy bottle of booze? Fancy cigars? 12/3/2013 4:00:36 PM |
NCSUHippie If it feels good 1189 Posts user info edit post |
^ I didn't want to do wine because everyone does wine. I thought about the booze, but wasn't sure if that was bad etiquette. I suck at this stuff.
The cheese is actually a really good idea! His wife is a gourmet chef so I'm sure they would appreciate good cheese.
Thanks! 12/3/2013 4:06:08 PM |

After looking at a bunch of recipes for tea sandwiches and fancy cookies and scones and whatnot, I want to have a legit tea party. I wish I didn't live far away from everyone I know, because I think I could get some people on board with that if I was closer. 12/3/2013 4:44:51 PM |

^^^that's one of the things I'm really looking forward moving back to Raleigh for. Maybe it's cheesy but my friends and I used to have tea parties atleast once a month before I moved away.

Just kidding, I know how annoying it is when someone backs you into a corner and pokes you in the chest letting you know you better be invited to something. So much so I'm thinking about making a passive aggressive Facebook post.

The tea party will be packed full of the grandmothers' friends. We are having a casual drop in shower at our house with heavy apps and beer that everyone can come to. The more the merrier. We need baby stuffs.
