Getting this thing complete, proofed, edited, and criticized by Wednesday - Emailing professors immediately after to get letters of recommendation. Essentialy getting everything completed for this application. After that's taken care of I just wait until march. Then that will light a giant weight off my shoulders for a few months.
THEN, I'll be able to spend the next week and a half wishing it were only two days away 12/16/2013 1:37:16 AM |

please please please let this week be slow and uneventful. Five day vacation/holiday from Friday-Wednesday, then hopefully smooth sailing through New Years, then I'll be off for 1-2 weeks in early January taking care of the new baby girl. 12/16/2013 8:29:49 AM |

I wish I had extra money to buy up mid-century modern style homes in my area. They are few and far between here, and don't have the same flair as a lot of the west-coast ones; however, the few we do have seem to get bought by house-flippers and then renovated horribly to be sold for a markup.
A little piece of me dies when I see the real estate pictures of these houses with terrible granite, generic counters, generic tile floors, crown moulding, chair rail, etc. that are just all so out of sync with the style of the house but were just paid for and put in. There is one in particular this week I thought about picking up to rent out for now and re-renovate down the line. It's a good price for the house and the land, but they are asking $40,000 more than they paid for it 6 months ago. They probably put $20,000 worth of updates into the house, but I would seriously want to tear out every bit of what they did and redo it all before I would ever live there. Zero respect for the architectural style of the house. 12/16/2013 9:59:13 AM |

Yeah, I know the feeling. I live really close to the old Water Garden site. I was pretty when I saw them tear down the signs this year.

One of our sales guys sent out an email to those that he's worked with a lot this year to go pick up a gift from his assistant's cubicle. I thought it was like fruit or something... turns out that it was a bottle of wine! One bottle of wine or a package of decent chocolates for each coworker he felt did a lot of stuff for him. Sweet! 12/17/2013 2:58:37 PM |

Also, I'm having some trouble accelerating on the highway, and my mileage seems to have decreased. I think it's a tire pressure problem, my father disagrees, and I'm not sure how to measure the pressure. If it weren't that, any other suggestions?

You can use a tire pressure gauge that you can probably get at target, autozone, advanced auto for less than $5. the desired psi is written on the side of the tire. or just go to a gas station with an air pump, most have a gauge. 12/17/2013 9:16:38 PM |
