One of my favorite parts about working at JJ is that I never have to figure out to wear. I have to wear exactly one shirt, it has to fit a certain way, it has to be tucked in, I can only wear my hair in a ponytail, it has to be a certain color, I can't wear excessive makeup, I can't wear jewelry or any other accessories. There are restrictions on shoes, socks, belts, everything.

Even though I know I'll never be able to fit in at the tailor shop, it's always pretty stressful... everyone is very high fashion, brand name, huge effort into appearance, expensive clothing, et cetera... and let's be honest, the most expensive article of clothing I own is a $120 Northface jacket that was on sale for $25... under that is an $80 dress I got at Kohls for $40. I'm not big on clothes or shopping or name brands, and I'm not a hugely fashion conscious person, and my wardrobe is pretty limited in terms of variety.

Ugh. Exhausted from a 12.5 hour work day due to scheduling bullshit, and spent the past few hours trying to pack.

I found a birthday card from my abusive ex boyfriend.

After many years of holding onto it in a drawer I never opened, I lit it on fire and flushed it down the toilet.

Feels good man.

The bathroom sort of smells like smoke now though.
