I'm not going to pretend like I know everything, or even a lot about indian culture.....
but....

my freshman year @ NCSU, I was placed in Alexander hall (the international dorm) with an american roommate, hahaha. Anyway, I met a few indian dudes. They were cool as fuck. My buddy Amol even gave me an indian night suit!
They taught me a lot about their culture (I think). The qualms in india, the americanization, some language (though now forgotten), and some religion.


Good experience.
But that's how I know about the desi's


p.s, I also met a lot of indian dudes (mostly desi) that hated my fucking guts because I was black. I think that was because of the northern/southern - light/dark indian dichotomy. The americanized indians were VERY different though. They were more accepting. More 'you're cool in my eyes until you fuck me over' type thing.

I'm sorry if I've offended, or am generalizing and stereotyping. I really try NOT to do this...
