Good Episode...def advanced plot a good bit...But no Ollie...

So anyone else think that this will be last season? When Clark said he plans on going to train at the Fortrese after he captures or kills all the zoners, I am taken that to mean that this may possibly be the last season....makes sense...

Recap of the end

Clark and Ria went to Fortrese and Ria rewired the residual energy of the Fortrese to send off energy to attract Bow Wow to come after the power source. Bow Wow came, blasted Ria and then tried to Blast Clark. Clark used his fathers seal to block the blast and it pulled the phantom out of Bow Wow and he collapsed....no fighting, weak, very weak action sequence.

Oh yeah...Ria dies...anti-clamaticly though

Ria told Clark there is now enough energy to energize the Fortrese. Clark goes home and tells his mom he wants to fulfill his training, and his destiny and will no longer run away. Clark also told his mom that he could not go yet, b/c he wants to catch all the zoners.

side note..Jimmy got fired from phone call from Lex, but got rehired in basement photocopying all the photos into archives.

Lana and Lex still playing mindfuck games

^^ yeah the implication is that that the season will end with clark returning to the fortress to begin his training, but the same thing happened at the end of season 4, so who knows... if the ratings are up this season they may find a way to prolong the show for another year.

Don't get me wrong, I want another season, but I would like for a season that will kept me guessing...

Did anyone notice that in the very first episode of the series when lionel and young lex are riding in the helicopter that lionel's reading a newspaper with the title story "Queen Industries CEO Missing, Presumed Dead?" I don't know how I missed that before. I would've figured Ollie inherited the family's fortune later in life, but then again I'm not to familiar with his origin. Anyone know?

He flew to get that stone out of Lexs plane in the season four premiere, and then flew to stop the nuclear missle last season. Hes also practically flew a number of times as well, such as landing on the tractor trailer shown in the opening titles.

I just started watching this show from the beginning over the summer...watched season 1 on DVD, season 2-4 on HDNet, and season five via bittorrent...finally caught up last week, although Im still downloading episodes since TWC doesnt carry CW-HD.

Assuming they stay accurate to the number of lights that came from the Phantom Zone portal, there are 7 total entities that escaped. So far we know of Clark, Raya, the weird vine-lady, the phantom Baern, and another phantom that landed in South America or somewhere (at the end of "Zod"), leaving two others unknown (for anyone keeping count).

When he flew in season four he was Kal-El and had all the powers of a true Kryptonian. Remember, afterwards he told his parents he could no longer fly. When he stopped the nuclear missle, he jumped, I don't think he flew. They're probably going to dedicate an episode to Clark finally being able to get the power of flight.

As far as the other zoners, there was also mention of one that did considerable damage in India, so that may only leave one unaccounted for. Also, what about Brainiac? All his copies were destroyed but he's still running around somewhere...

omicron101 Totally hit on the head...Clark did not Fly, Kal-El did and remembers very little if anything at all about the experiences...I would like for them to focus on him and flight...maybe end the show with him flying in the last couple episodes...

Hell they flew in Hero's in the first 4 episodes....

There were some episodes a few seasons back when he "started" to fly. There was one episode when he woke up in the middle of the road like 20 miles away and another one around that time where he rolled "off" his bed and was levitating or something.

Well like I said before, I know he was hovering at the beginning of the second episode and he did tell his parents about it, but that was just a dream. He did mention in the first episode of season two that, in trying to reach Lana in the tornado, he felt like he was almost willing himself towards the truck. That was the only hint of flight I remember, but I could be wrong. Some of the episodes I've only seen once and probably a long time ago.

Yeah, there have been severl HINTS at him being able to fly, and scenes of him Jumping from county to county, and tornado scene when he "flew" up, but they used the tornado to disguise that ability. Hovering over the bed and falling and breaking did happen, but that was a dream, and not really flying.
