Is anyone checking out the Nuthing Summer collaborative over this weekend at the Music Factory? $20. In the last two years it's been a much smaller affair, and free then, in NoDa at the Salvador Deli. Stump Dickens/ Eyes of the Elders will be there!

If anything I can make the Sunday portion.

hey i'm heading to an area i never get to visit very often, the Elizabeth Ave. neighborhood. Going to a show at the Visulite. What's a good bar/grill restaurant to stop by for some beers before the show? I know the Philosopher's Stone is on 7th, what else is good? Going with a twwer, not a girl so nothing fancy

Oktoberfest was great! A little compacted since it wasn't at Memorial, but fun none the less. Lots of beer to try, but there was a lot less free swag this year.

Brawley's on Park Road. Very knowledgeable and really nice guys that work there.
Mike's on Park Road is next door, never been in though.

Frugal McDougal is down near Carowind's, but it's a giant warehouse type place with Beer/Wine/Liquor.

Alternative Beverage is a beer making supply store, not sure if they sell beer for consumption too.

No - don't have the full story, but was told that they were started by the same guy. Apparently he started one, sold it, didn't like the way the new owners were running it so he opened a place next door. Brawley's (I believe) is the better one, so I assume he started Mike's and then opened up Brawley's.

They have some real cool stuff there. I picked up a Sam Adam's Chocolate Boch that I had never seen before when I went there around Christmas.

Brawley's is great.

I love the Common Market on Thomas Street. They do a beer tasting every Wednesday night around 6.

Froogal Mcdougald's is the best liquor and beer store in North America.

Just next to Carowinds.

They are dog friendly too
